For my money, the PSR BIG Camp Series is the single-best private camp in the state. With over 40 different collegiate football programs scheduled to attend, the best price point in the market, ample reps, top-caliber coaching, recruiting opportunities, and elite competition, there is no other event in the state that hails in comparison. This even draws the best talent in New Jersey, both far and wide, out to compete.
Speaking of top talent, here are some of the top talent I am excited to see live and in-person this Saturday.
PSR BIG Camp Series Event Coverage
- t
- Effective at slanting due to his size more than anything else
- Strong up-top and fires out hard despite being high at times
- Consistently showcases his brute strength; a load to handle
- Keeps his feet moving at all times, allows him to walk back defenders and be actively involved in any given play
- Matches quarterbacks’ hand very well; also gets his hands up to block kicks
- Pursues to sideline well and can play anywhere along the defensive front
- Gets hands on, but sheds very quickly rather than extending for separation
- Needs to know to look for an incoming trapper if unblocked; film is missing clips of him encountering double teams
Highlights
- t
- Weaponizes the snap count to his advantage
- Gets movement because of his size; moves and falls on people, looks to finish and pin
- Quick enough feet to reach block; should look to keep working to get his head around to the far shoulder
- Works to refit hands at moments
- Film has only a few clips of him in pass protection, reach blocks, and pulls; no clips of how he works double teams
Highlights
- t
- Tall and high player; very big, college-ready body
- Can bend and get low when he focuses on doing so
- Versatile, appears to have played all over the line
- Keeps his feet moving to create drive; very powerful
- Pulls fairly quickly for a man his size; appears difficult for him to cut upfield as a wrap on counter
- Feet must get fleeter; wants to see him refit and grab breastplates to better control opponents
- No clips of him in pass protection on tape
Highlights
- t
- Has upper body strength to wrestle and win blocks up top
- Capable of driving his opponents
- Hand placement showed improvement on film, enabling him to better drive opponents
- Does not get into a 3-point stance, exclusively plays in a 2-point stance
- Foot technique needs to improve
- Eight-minute highlight film needs to be cut to about 3 1/2
Highlights
- t
- Moves and changes directions well; gets off ball quickly
- Maintains a good base when drive blocking
- Will swim pesky down linemen to climb to the second level
- Kick steps until contact occurs; powers down well
- Difficult utilize speed rush going against him
- Fires out well, but raises to a high pad level too quickly
Highlights

- Possesses good footwork and mobility in the pocket; gets creative in the pocket at times
- Has arm strength to put ball into tight spaces, although does not always do so
- Careful with the ball; went five straight games without a pick, throwing only 3 all year
- Puts the ball accurately on his receivers both on the run, when under pressure, and across his body
- Willing to tuck it and run; applies 5 points of pressure to ball when doing so
- Places ball where only his guys can make a play, great deal of confidence in them to do so; want to see him lead receivers more so they can get YAC
- Has not shown to step up in the pocket or hit many intermediate or in-breaking routes on film
- t
- Steps up in the pocket well; dips and turns shoulders to evade rush, resetting them perpendicular quickly
- Feet are very quick in the pocket
- Ball can reach about 50 yards
- Will stand in and take a hit for the sake of delivering the ball to his playmakers
- Footwork is good; release is about average
- Places ball where his guys can catch and run with it
