The OK-Conference is a top 2 conference in Michigan. Honestly, the only conference that could argue for the #1 spot is the OAA. This conference is the marquee conference in the Grand Rapids/Muskegon metro areas, and it houses dozens of amazing college prospects every year. This time around, I'll be showcasing five potentially breakout players in the OK conference from GRCC, Northview, FHC, FHN, and Mona Shores.

Raef is a promising TE prospect who could have a breakout 2024 season. He reports himself as 6'3″, 210 pounds, which seems accurate based on the film. The scheme run by CC gives Raef the opportunity to become a well-rounded tight end. He has several blocking highlights, showing a solid foundation. His physicality is alright, but needs to improve in this area in order to be a dominant blocker. Improving his blocking fundamentals and strength would significantly elevate that aspect of his game. Additionally, he has room to grow in route running and catching. While his routes are decent, he could improve his change of direction and RAC abilities. Displaying a wider catch radius and better hands would also be helpful. Knowing the CC program, I have no doubt that Raef will head into next season as a much-improved player as long as he listens to his coaches this offseason.

'26 DL | Carson Ginn | Northview | @CarsonGinn7

Carson is an undeveloped defensive line prospect, but he has been a role-player on varsity since his freshman season. His size alongside twitter makes him look like a high-ceiling player with a good work ethic. There's little question of his potential, but he really needs to sharpen his fundamentals in order to getting to that next level. Improving his get-off and hand usage is particularly crucial. If Carson can become more explosive and enhance his hand techniques, he'll likely be one of the most improved players in the OK Conference, and a potential college prospect come next offseason.

Sedar is a well-rounded player who was a great role player last season, but with several graduating seniors, he could play a much bigger role on this defense. His versatility is impressive. He's a good run-stopper who sets the edge pretty well. Sedar also defends the pass adequately well, and he's an overall solid athlete. I truly think he's an offseason away from a breakout season. With a lot of film study and hard practices, Sedar could very realistically develop into a star next fall.

As I was covering the OK-Green a few weeks ago, Levi's tape truly stood out amongst the rest. Already a 2-year starter, Levi is heading into his Junior season with more Varsity experience than most seniors. Last season, Levi played with amazing physicality and play speed; two essential traits for any linebacker. He's very skilled at reading, quickly reacting, scraping, and attacking the football. There's also some good tape as a tight end, but I think his true potential lies as a linebacker. Heading into next season, I'd love see Levi put on some muscle weight. If his lifting numbers are up to par, he could be an elite GLIAC prospect in a year's time.

'25 WR | [player_tooltip player_id='1290904' first='Jaeger' last='Johnson'] | Mona Shores | @jaeger11johnson

Jaeger was a phenomenal receiver at the MHSAA eval camp in Jenison, and his tape shows some great stuff as well. This is a burner who can play outside or in the slot. His great release allows him to earn immediate separation. Jaeger explodes out of his stance and has that fast-twitch movement to run precise routes. In space, Jaeger is able to weave through defenders and earn a lot of explosive plays but tends to go down on first contact. I know that a lot of the Mona Shores offense will remain intact, but I could still see Jaeger take a step up in terms of production.
