Continue ReadingThe Lansing area showed up and showed out for the DeWitt AM Showcase. Both the skill positions and the linemen were extremely solid, and I have no doubt I missed several standouts throughout the camp. Although I can’t get a good look at everyone, I do have six prospects worth talking about. So, here are six prospects who impressed me the most.
DB | Darryle Geter III | East Lansing | @D_Geter12
(B5)
Geter was easily the #1 DB standout of Tuesday. For much of the DeWitt showcase, I camped out on Darryle’s side of the field. I watched several reps of his, and he performed lights-out against some good receivers. His reaction time and change of direction are both stellar. I’ve seen receivers easily win with decent double moves, but Darryle hardly bit on any fake. Even when he made a misstep, he had the quickness and explosiveness to quickly recover. East Lansing always has phenomenal DBs, and I just might like Darryle the best out of the elite group.
WR |
Braden Rabideau

Another camp, another strong showing for Braden. Some colleges may be weary about his size, school size, and the fact that a million receivers are always trying to get recruited is another obstacle. Although it’s a crowded receiver class, I still expect Braden to cut through the noise and earn GLIAC offers eventually. He’s one of the twitchiest receivers in the class of 2025, and absolutely explodes out of his cuts. Braden reminds me of a less-built Alex McLean (Rockford ’23). I’ll keep pounding the table for Braden and I hope he earns his offers soon.
WR | Conor Gallagher Conor Gallagher 6'1" | 180 lbs | WR Lansing Catholic | 2027 MI | Lansing Catholic | @c_gallagher10
(W60)
I was able to watch Conor for a couple of reps, and I liked what I saw. He’s listed as a WR/TE, and he did very well as a Class of 2027 player. He showed good body control and contested catch ability. Interested to see how he develops moving forward.
OL | Andre Johnson | GR Northview | (No Twitter)
(102B)
Andre was the biggest standout of the O-Line group. This week, a ton of linemen have greatly struggled with hand placement and balance. Not Andre. Although he still needs to work on his footwork, his balance, anchor, and overall tenacity were great. I remember writing about Andre’s film a few weeks ago, and it was nice to have confirmation of what I saw in person. I’d recommend Andre to any D3 team and I wouldn’t be shocked if he eventually ended up in the GLIAC if he has a breakout senior season.
DL | Juston Aljaari Juston Aljaari 6'2" | 225 lbs | OL East Lansing | 2025 State MI | East Lansing | @Juston_aljaari
(B81)
Juston was my standout of the D-Line group. He has a great package of explosiveness off the line of scrimmage, quick hands, and a wide variety of pass-rush moves. He’s also very balanced in that he can win with both speed and power. If his rip failed, Juston would oftentimes hit the lineman with a quick spin move. Against some linemen, he was able to win quickly with a simple hand swipe paired with his explosive getoff. I see that he earned an offer from Sienna Heights post-camp, and I expect more offers to come his way fairly soon.
ATH | Javari Funches Javari Funches 5'11" | 210 lbs | ATH Lansing Everett | 2026 State MI | Lansing Everett | @JavariFunches
(W26)
I was only able to watch two reps of Javari at the very end of the camp, but wow did he surprise me. Javari played with phenomenal physicality and effort in the two reps I watched. His speed isn’t elite, but he has quick enough reaction time to consistently make plays on both sides of the ball, and the fearlessness needed to be a great linebacker. Javari should 100% try and get out to more camps in the next two months.
