Meeks is one of the better prospects across Northern California in this 2026 class, and currently has one offer from Nevada as he heads into his second prep season for Central Catholic. He is a bit of a upright runner with long strides and covers a ton of ground near the LOS, while also showing third level speed in the clear as well. Meeks shows good vision in tight windows and has cutback abilities, while waiting for his blocks to develop before sticking his toe in the ground and getting vertical. He is also a natural pass catcher out of the backfield and gets upfield quickly while able to pull away in the open field. Look for Meeks to be picking up more traction and offers this Fall for what should be a reloaded Central Catholic team.
Joshua Mellion
Joshua Mellion
Mellion is a physical and and extremely strong player at the point of attack that makes a big impact on both sides of the ball for the Buffaloes. On the defensive side, he has a quick first step, strong initial strike in is explosive in the short area and can quickly get into the backfield in cause negative plays behind the line. He can take on blockers, shows quick block recognition and provides both an edge and interior pass rush and shows he can move around along the defensive front. Offensively, he is a devastating blocker that can kick out and wash down defenders, and is a very smooth athlete in space for his size, that is a natural pass catcher and true jumbo athlete. Mellion should draw FCS+ interest heading into his Senior season and is one of the better prospects that the county has to offer in the 2025 class.
Amareon Mckenzie
Amareon Mckenzie
Mckenzie is one of the better two-way athletes in the region, and is coming off a stellar second season campaign for the Vikings where he had a big time impact from both the backfield and from his strong safety position. He has tremendous instincts from the third level, triggers quickly and excels at coming up in a run support while taking proper angles to ball carriers in the open field and is a very efficient tackler that explodes through contact and clearly loves to hit. He does a great job at sniffing out screens and baits quarterbacks into bad throws before breaking on the ball, and is always looking to create turnovers. He is a natural athlete with fluid hips in transition, return abilities and can effect the game from all three phases. Look for the talented rising Junior to start gathering college attention this Fall, as he is one of the regions best talents regardless of class.
Corey Waters
Corey Waters
Waters is one of the best playmakers in the 209, regardless of class. He is coming off a stellar Sophomore season campaign for McNair where he was productive from both the slot and on the outside, and is a true deep threat that can go up and get the ball in 50/50 situations as well. He is a explosive runner with outstanding ball skills in traffic, and can track the ball well over the top with strong hands when making contested catches around multiple defenders. After the catch, he is quick twitched and shows he can break arm and ankle tackles and offers position versatility on the outside. Only a rising Junior, he is a no brainer next level kid that should see his stock rise as he moves through his Junior season for McNair.
