This is what I call a "beat the crowd to him" type of player. The Bellevue West junior, [player_tooltip player_id='545272' first='TJ' last='Whaley'], is a prospect who I believe is in store for a big offseason if he shows out at camps. TJ is an interesting tight-end prospect with the athleticism and versatility to be flexed out and used like a receiver in order to exploit mismatches against defenses. Whaley is a great route runner who can create separation and does a great job finding gaps in coverage to break away for big plays. He has reliable hands and flashes a nice burst and toughness after the catch, which leads him to extra yardage. Whaley finished his junior season with 24 receptions for 271 yards and a receiving touchdown. Huge breakout season incoming as the possible focal point in the Bellevue West passing game.

I mean, just look at the size... 6'8" and 225 pounds... how do you defend that? Then you cut on the tape and see the athleticism coupled with the eye-popping measurables, and it's clear why Marqas is on my "offer now" list. Marqas is an instant mismatch anywhere you line him up, and it's clear to see his basketball background in the way he's able to box out, be physical, and elevate over defenders to high-point the ball. Gray displays strong hands when making tough catches through contact and can adjust his body to the ball when going up for it. Gray had a solid junior year after pulling in 19 catches for 335 yards and three receiving touchdowns. Don't sleep on this guy!

Bennington's [player_tooltip player_id='1059046' first='Hudson' last='Neuverth'] is another player on my list of possible summer risers. The biggest selling point for Hudson is his emergence as possibly the best blocking TE in the class. He is practically an extension of the offensive line as he flashes great technique and strength to drive opponents. Now, Hudson is not just a blocking tight as he gave us a sample of what he can do as a pass-catcher, with 15 receptions for 125 yards and a receiving touchdown. Neuverth is a natural athlete who moves very well and displays great footwork on his routes. Won't be long before the offers start rolling in!

Lincoln Northeast's [player_tooltip player_id='736210' first='Levi' last='Sherman'] is a player who should be getting more looks than he is. Watching Levi at 7v7 tournaments, I can say his route-running and how smooth he moves for his size have always been fascinating to watch. He is a lethal weapon in the middle of the field, able to create separation from defenders. Sherman also has deceptive straight-line speed, which I've seen him use to burn defenses for long gains. Levi should be able to build on his standout junior season in which he hauled in 35 receptions for 572 yards and five receiving touchdowns.
