Someone who just puts their head down and works hard no matter what is a special kind of player. In this installment, we’re going to talk about those hard workers who don’t want the spotlight, they just want to work, get better and win!

Everyone I talk to talks about how good of a kid Connor is. He’s a high character kid who works his butt off day in and day out, and he’s all about winning. All of my interactions with him I have come away impressed and being able to feel his excitement and commitment to his craft. I think with another off season in the weight room and learning defensive philosophy, he could be a great kid to get in your building.
Drew is a highly regarded kid in the Notre Dame Prep program, and it’s easy to see why. He gets it done both in the classroom and on the field as he’s a 4.0+ kid who was also an All- State athlete. On film, he displays a quick get off, and does a great job of pursuing the ball, and finishing the play. He’s a sure tackler, and his aggression is off the charts. Next year he’ll likely be stepping into a running back role offensively as well, and I think he could end up being a threat there as well. Do your homework on this kid as he is ready to boom!

Though I haven’t met him in person, everyone I hear from speaks glowingly of DesMond’s work ethic. On the field, it translates as he never gives up on a play. Even when he looks to be at a disadvantage, he does a great job of using all of his tools to break up the pass and make a play. He has good recovery speed, and is always a pest to the opponent. I’m super excited to see how Murphy develops and improves over this off season.
Zach is a 1st Team All Conference LB who takes care of business in the classroom with a 4.0+, and on the field he is as hard of a worker as you’ll see. He can play in a variety of spots on the field, and will be extremely productive. He reacts and can pursue relentlessly, and I love his form when he tackles. I hope to see Zach in person this year as he is someone I’m really interested in. His offers are starting to come and I think many more are on the horizon.

Sully is a great example of “Low Ego-High Output.” He does nothing but work every single day, and it shows every time I see him. When I met him, he was nothing but respectful, and he took coaching extremely well. He sees the positive to the criticism, and he implements it in his game. On the field, he is a nasty offensive lineman, who is a road grader in the run game, and does a heck of a job keeping pass rushers in front of him. I think the sky is the limit for Sully, and he is quickly becoming one of the top prospects in the 2026 class, so get in now!
