Some incredible athleticism was on full display and these four guys all stood out for their versatility as blockers and pass catchers out of the backfield. Putting on a show for everyone in attendance, these guys all saw their stock rise while competing out there at the combine.
Bosten Renneman Bosten Renneman 5’10” | 185 lbs | RB Highland | 2026 State AZ stood out very early on at the PRZ Arizona Combine and continued to do so throughout the day. Starting off with a 7.19 on the L-Drill, Renemann showed incredible body control as he turned the sharp corners in the figure-eight with ease. More of the same when switching to the 1-on-1’s portion of the event. Renneman’s footwork was often too much for linebackers to keep up with, even those faster than him. It’s not that Renneman has blazing speed that the linebackers couldn’t match, but he used leverage and timing so well that he was able to generate the separation he needed to win reps. He has very natural hands and proved he’s a true threat out of the backfield. After a transfer to Highland, the Gilbert school now has one of the most dynamic backfields in the state with Kalen Fisher Kalen Fisher 6’4″ | 200 lbs | QB Highland | 2025 State AZ at the helm.

Bentley Corbin Bentley Corbin 5’8″ | 185 lbs | RB Sandra Day O’Connor | 2025 AZ is a well-built running back with a really strong base. Weighing in as the heaviest running back at 185 lbs, he ended up tied for the second-fastest 40-yard dash by anyone in the group with a 4.68. Moving those quick feet and using that size to his advantage, he was impressive during the blocking portion of the PRZ Arizona Combine. Corbin did a great job running crisp routes throughout the event and was able to consistently win on outside moves using his sharp cuts. Fresh off a year at O’Connor where he averaged 7.5 yards a carry, Corbin is looking stronger, faster, and more explosive than ever. He’ll likely take on a much bigger role for O’Connor’s offense in his senior season, and I expect him to take full advantage of it.

Kyler Drunasky Kyler Drunasky 5’10” | 180 lbs | RB Desert Vista | 2026 State AZ had the fastest shuttle time of any running back, and by a pretty wide margin. That became even more evident once he started running routes against some really good linebackers lining up to defend him. Drunasky was moving more like a slot receiver than a running back, running incredibly refined routes and using his burst and agility to make defenders miss whenever the opportunity presented itself. Coming off a sophomore season where he scored 6 touchdowns (all on the ground) and averaged over 8 yards per reception for a 2-8 Desert Vista team, Drunasky has shown that he can contribute at the varsity level. With his versatility and some younger talent stepping into some big roles, Desert Vista has an opportunity for a quick turnaround here in 2024.

Esteban Demby-Lamas
Esteban Demby-Lamas had a really impressive day at the PRZ Arizona combine. He stood out to me as not just a big and twitchy running back, but one of the hardest-working players attending the event. It always felt like he was really working each rep and taking it seriously, as well as soaking in what the coaches had to tell him. Being the tallest running back in attendance at 5’11”, I thought he showcased his length well by using his body to box out defenders and give him room to make the plays. His length also came into play in the blocking portion where he was able to use those long arms to stay engaged with defenders. Playing for Liberty, Demby-Lamas could get a real chance to produce for the defending open division state champions with them not having a rusher with over 210 yards returning for the 2024 season.
