Wisconsin was one of the most dominant states for upperclassmen last weekend amongst the quarterbacks and Canada was a quarterback group that I loved the athleticism and quarterback play I saw last weekend. this list has several next-level targets that fit from Division I on down in my eyes.
Patrick Greisen Patrick Greisen 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB West De Pere | 2026 State WI , QB, Wisconsin Bombers/West De Pere 2026 Twitter
Flashback to Back 2 Ballin last year, I recall Patrick on our top gunslingers list and watching the development from last year to this year was certainly impressive to see take shape. The poise and chemistry Patrick has quickly grown with his wide receivers shows off excellent efficiency on all three levels of the field, as he showed off consistently he can make nearly any throw out there that your team is looking for. Patrick was highly successful in Iowa with his accuracy along the edges of the field with tiny windows to work with and was likely the best at it amongst the quarterbacks I got to watch. The fact that this young man still has two more years of HS development is certainly intriguing. Wisconsin’s QB1 in the 2026 rankings is due for a big summer as a sure-fire Division I target in our eyes.
Owen Fiedler Owen Fiedler 6'2" | 205 lbs | QB Madison Memorial | 2025 State WI , QB, Topline/Madison Memorial 2025 Twitter
Owen is a 2025 quarterback prospect out of Madison that has certainly blossomed up radar in the last 5 months, starting his winter off as our QB MVP at our Prep Redzone Wisconsin Combine. Owen was another Wisconsin quarterback that I thought excelled at Back 2 Ballin with his precision, especially on intermediate and deep routes he made the bulk of his throws look effortless with his sound mechanics and placed them right in bucket for his wide receiver to catch and go. He also showed off excellent footwork that was one of the more balanced I saw in my live evaluations last weekend. Owen is a 2025 QB I would expect to continue to raise his stock into camp season as this young man is more under the radar than he should be.
Rogan Vergata, QB, Recruit Ready/Dakota Collegiate 2026 Twitter
One of the most impressive Canadian gunslingers at Back 2 Ballin was Recruit Ready’s Rogan Vergata. Even though undersized, I was very impressed with Rogan’s fiery arm strength he showed off last weekend as he certainly trended his stock upwards last weekend. The athleticism Rogan showed off outside of the pocket was catchy to my eyes and when I picked up his tape after my live eval I was not surprised to see Rogan as a swiss-army knife on both sides of the ball. Rogan is certainly a prospect you go outside the measurables threshold for as a 2026 (US) and a 2025 (Canada) prospect.
Joseph Kallay Joseph Kallay 6'0" | 185 lbs | QB Franklin | 2025 State WI , QB, Topline/Franklin 2025 Twitter
Joey was another QB prospect from Topline that checked off a few skillsets that intrigued me last weekend at Back 2 Ballin in Iowa. The first one is particular was how well this kid could throw an out-route as Joey I thought was the best QB I saw on this route on the weekend which as you can tell was a loaded field for quarterbacks. He also showed off advanced touch on his intermediate and deep routes and gave his wide receivers the proper lead-time to haul in his throws on the run with his proficient accuracy he showed off consistently last weekend. The 2025 QB target from Franklin, is yet another stud gunslinger from Topline and in my eyes shows off another QB target that should blossom this summer.
Ryan Wirtzfeld Ryan Wirtzfeld 6'1" | 205 lbs | QB Oak Park | 2025 State CAD , QB, Recruit Ready/Oak Park 2026 Twitter
Although Ryan’s reps were limited due to a recent injury, as a QB prospect I have covered for a while now I was impressed with his growth from the last time I had a live-evaluation of him. You can tell by the speed of his quick reads, that the game has certainly slowed down for him as he also shows off more instinct with his poise he has inside the pocket. Even not at 100%, I can tell Ryan has gotten in the weight room, as his arm strength on all of his throws just seemed to have more pop from when I watched him last in Minneapolis. One of Canada’s top gunslingers, Ryan is one that I believe this summer at camps is when college coaches see his skillsets pop out even more, as a young man that also impresses me with his character as well.
