Expert Analysis

I did not seek out an evaluation of Ryan, but he got so many reps right in front of me that it was hard not to notice.
Ryan does an excellent job of staying calm and using his whole body to drive the football downfield. Every throw had perfect velocity, and he did a great job exaggerating that flick of the wrist and throwing with his whole body. I will nitpick a little; Ryan’s throwing motion is a bit long, and his footwork is inconsistent. Though going off of last weekend, he absolutely looks like a college prospect. Looking at another Prep Redzone Evaluation, it seems that Ryan has shown improvement over the past year. I can easily see Ryan succeeding at the D3 or D2 level.

Coming from Manitoba, Wirtzfeld is the second of the two quarterbacks to join the Webb School from Canada, and the former Oak Park QB already has some solid scrimmage tape up with the Webb School. The lefty is on the Recruit Ready 7v7 team, bringing multiple years of varsity starting experience with him to Tennessee.
On tape, Wirzfeld shows good pocket awareness and patience when dropping back to throw, especially in recent scrimmages. He also shows a really nice Level 2 ball getting over LBs and underneath DBs in deeper zone coverage.

Writzfeld is a talented dual-threat lefty for Oak Park High School. Wirtzfeld has good arm talent that he shows a lot of control over. His ability to change velocity and adjust the flight of the ball is one of his best traits. Even on throws that require some touch and air under the ball his throws still maintain some zip and get to the target quickly. Wirtzfeld shows good pocket presence and poses under pressure not being phased when he has to reset and make a throw. Writzfeld is not a run-first type of quarterback but he moves well and can be dangerous extending plays outside of the pocket and finding open space and lanes to get down field.
