From our PRZ7v7 circuit to others, we got to see some great competition and players from all over the state. This week on Prep Redzone Oklahoma, we'll be taking a look at some of the top players that we got a chance to watch and break down this offseason. From your typical positional breakdowns to other categories like stock risers, breakout players & more.

In this post, we're taking a look at some of the top running backs and tight ends that we got a chance to see this offseason. The majority of these guys are some of the top overall prospects in their respective classes and it showed throughout the 7v7 circuit. Whether it was pass-catching running backs or match-up nightmare tight ends, we saw some good football from this group.

[player_tooltip player_id='353410' first='Caden' last='Knighten'] - 2025 RB - Wynnewood (Played With C4)

Wynnewood 2025 running back [player_tooltip player_id='353410' first='Caden' last='Knighten'] was arguably the player we were most excited to see this offseason. Knighten had his junior season cut short early on in 2023 with an injury. Knighten returned to the field in our tournament in early March and it looked like he hasn't missed a step. Knighten was immediately one of the top players in attendance and he showcased his abilities throughout the weekend. Knighten would continue that dominant play in several other tournaments this offseason. In our tournament, Knighten was electric in one game as he made several big plays, including a game-winning touchdown reception. When he's healthy, Knighten is one of the best football players in the state. He was a PRZ-Oklahoma Player Of The Year finalist when he was a sophomore and he's hungry to return to that level this fall. Knighten is the top running back in the state's 2025 class and is committed to play college ball Baylor.

[player_tooltip player_id='587265' first='Kenny' last='Golston'] - 2026 RB - Valliant (Played With C4)

Valliant 2026 running back [player_tooltip player_id='587265' first='Kenny' last='Golston'] might be at the top of the list in terms of players that we saw the most this offseason. I believe the final count was five different tournaments that we saw Golston playing in and he passed the eye test every time. Specifically in the tournaments in March, including two of ours with one being in Oklahoma and the other in Tennessee. Golston, like Knighten is listed as a running back but he became one of the top pass-catchers on his team. And the thing that we wrote about Golston earlier this offseason following one of the tournaments is the fact that 7v7 tournaments don't even play into his strengths and he still showed out. Golston is absolutely built and so his strength is literally his strength and the ability to lower the shoulder and power through a defender. Golston was really impressive and it certainly helped seeing him so many times. But he backed up the hype as one of the top 2026 prospects in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='724375' first='Myles' last='Davis'] - 2025 TE - Union (Played With 918 Elite)

This is the second straight offseason that we've been impressed with Union 2025 tight end [player_tooltip player_id='724375' first='Myles' last='Davis'] while he played for 918 Elite. He got on our radar last season as a guy that simply caught everything thrown his way. This year, he looks like he's gotten more athletic and continues to have that knack for catching just about anything thrown his way. We saw Davis perform in several tournaments this offseason and he did it at a high level. And now look, it's obviously going to be different when the pads come on and contact comes in the picture in a major way. But we do think his connection with his quarterback is getting better and we've written a few times this offseason about how Union needs to replace quite a bit of production in the receiving department. We like Davis to be that security blanket for the Union offense. He has proven that you can count on him in short yardage or goal line situations and much more this offseason.

[player_tooltip player_id='353411' first='Nate' last='Roberts'] - 2025 TE - Washington (Played With Sooner 7)

Our final prospect on this breakdown is the top overall prospect in the state's 2025 class. Washington tight end [player_tooltip player_id='353411' first='Nate' last='Roberts'] played for Sooner 7 in March and that was the only time we got a chance to see him in person. Roberts is an absolute monster with the pads on and that was the same scenario in a 7v7 tournament. While Roberts didn't have the advantage that he has with the pads on, Roberts was still a beast to contend with for opposing defenses. Roberts was a match-up nightmare for opposing teams and he made some spectacular catches throughout the weekend. Whether he towers over a defender or makes a catch in traffic, he couldn't be stopped. Roberts was also in the news recently as he gave a verbal commitment to Ohio State. Roberts has been sought after by just about every major program in the country and that's another reason why he's firmly established as the state's top overall prospect in the 2025 class.
