This can range from players I expect a huge jump from, or players that are already ready-made stars, and aren’t getting the attention they deserve yet. We’ll talk abut 2 players in the ’25, ’26, and ’27 class in each article and highlight why I feel so strongly about each player. Let’s outline the 6 offensive linemen that could have their names circled by colleges if they live up to their potential this season!
I thought towards the end of last season, Maxwell could be on the fringe of blowing up, and with a full offseason, he could really emerge this fall. He’s a well rounded athlete who does track and field as well. He is a beast in the run game and shows a great ability to bury opponents, and get to the second level with ease and hold his blocks on shifty LBs and DBs that he gets his hands on. His twitter shows that he has been absolutely grinding in the weight room, which was really one of the things I wanted to see from him. Hopefully he can get out to some team camps this summer so I can see him work in person and see how he is progressing, and getting some coaching from college coaches is always a huge plus at these camps!

Carson has the size and ability to really be a force this fall with the right work this offseason. He’s not one of those guys that’s going to play sloppy the longer into a game you go. He has put in the work to be a 4 quarter mauler. He shows the most ability as a road grader from the center position. Spring Lake runs and throws so he has experience being able to run block and pass block and pick up blitzers. I hope to see him continue to work on speed and blasting out of his stance, but so far I think Carson will have no issues being at least a D2 offensive lineman, but I would not be shocked to see some D1 attention if he takes a big step this fall!

Emmett has been a fun project to follow for the last couple seasons, and I thought his 2023 season showed vast improvement. If he takes another jump like he did last season, this could become a highly sought out prospect. I think he is on a solid D3 trajectory right now. He has strong legs that lets him stay in front of his defender and absorb contact and not be moved on pass protection. On runs, he does a nice job of driving his knees, staying low and driving through the chest. If he keeps working in the weight room, and working on his overall speed and explosion, he could put his name up there in this loaded 2026 offensive line class.
I think Zack shows big time potential. He bursts from his stance and drives his hands into the chest of his defender. He has good footwork that keeps him balanced and anchored against some of the best competition this state has to offer. The conference he plays in will continue to test him week after week, and I am a firm believer it will continue to sharpen his skills. Every time I have seen him in person he has gotten better, and I suspect this fall will be no different! I’m excited to see if he can truly take off in 2024!

This is a prospect that may or may not take that big step this season, but he has all of the physical tools. Already at 6’1 255, Vincent is a big body that has the ability to block up both speedy or physical styled defensive linemen. I know he has been on radars for awhile, but if he can settle into the weight room side of things and continue to round his on field skill, I think he could take an enormous step and become an elite 2027 prospect.

I actually saw Micah play last season, and I did come away thinking he has some solid potential. Tri County mainly threw the ball so run blocking comes much more naturally to him. If he wants to continue to rise boards in the 2027 class, he will have to work on passing sets as much as possible, and I would like to see him continue to mature his technique, and staying under control to make sound blocks and not lunge too much. I like what I see so far, and I think at least West Michigan colleges will know Micah’s name soon!
