Nearly every athlete in this event is currently finishing up their eighth-grade school year, and several of the prospects already hold verbal offers from FBS schools. Below is a look at the projected quarterbacks on the provided roster, who were selected for the squad out of the Tar Heel State.
<!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["866234"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"After being on my list since he was in sixth-grade, I finally broke down and made the change from having [player_tooltip player_id='866234' first='Kylen' last='Crisp'] listed as an ATH, to being listed as a quarterback. Watching his development from being an athletic kid that plays quarterback, to a quarterback that can beat you athletically...has been really fun to watch. Last summer he was 5-foot-8 and 145-pounds and this year he's now listed at 5-foot-10 and 160-pounds. On the field he's a long, lean kid that can scorch a defense any number of ways. The dual-threat signal caller is one of the most mobile quarterbacks in this North Carolina 2028 class, and almost looks like an attacking point guard when putting his foot in the ground. As a member of the star-studded Triad Ducks this past season, he was surrounded by weapons. From what I saw, he did an excellent job of not forcing shots downfield and was OK with scrambling for a big pickup, or hitting his playmakers on underneath routes.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["1112733"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"Another elitely-talented prospect that will be at quarterback on this Rising Stars North Carolina team, will be [player_tooltip player_id='1112733' first='Micah' last='Walker']. Walker is a prospect that I'm going to keep list as an athlete, because at 6-foot and 170-pounds he was one of the most dynamic kids I saw over the last calendar year. This past December, he helped the North Carolina Giants 13U team make a memorable run in the AYF tournament, playing against some of the most talented programs in the nation. Walker doubled down on his ability by showing out as a safety. With further development as a passer, there's no ceiling for what he could eventually become as a dual-threat. However, if his career plays out and he ends up at another position, he has the athletic ability to carry him very, very far regardless. This kid has all the potential to be a special player.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["1048624"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"u003cp class=u0022p1u0022u003eu003cspan class=u0022s1u0022u003eWe got to see Paylor up close and personal this past January at the Prep RedZone Next middle school camp in South Carolina. Fittingly enough, the gunslinger walked away with Top Performer honors at the camp. By all accounts he was clearly dialed in and played with great rhythm. PRZ Next Scout Ed Brooks said, u003c/spanu003eu003cspan class=u0022s2u0022u003e“ [Zaiden] displayed good arm strength on short and medium range throws.
