Crisp has been on our radar for a while, but has quietly worked with the JV squad ahead of what could be a breakout 2026. Crisp throws with anticipation and has high-level accuracy, not just to deliver on time, but to allow his receivers to catch the ball on the run and turn upfield. He doesn’t run as much as you’d think, but when he does, he’s electric. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him have a huge junior season.

If there’s a guy I’m staking an early claim on, it’s Crisp, a guy who’s physical talent gives him great upside. An elite runner, Crisp has come a long way as a passer, and his arm talent, even while undersized is obvious from even just a quick glance at his film. He sat behind a Duke commit in his freshman year, but assuming he does take over as the starter, he’ll have some weapons to work with and could be one of the fastest risers in the class.

Crisp spent a year developing behind a Duke signee, but flashed when he saw the field. He’s an excellent runner who makes good decisions in the zone read game. He was mainly used a change-of-pace running quarterback, but when asked to throw, he showed a willingness to be patient and let routes develop. He’s a guy who could be a star once he gets to start.

listed as an ATH, to being listed as a quarterback. Watching his development from being an athletic kid that plays quarterback, to a quarterback that can beat you athletically…has been really fun to watch. Last summer he was 5-foot-8 and 145-pounds and this year he’s now listed at 5-foot-10 and 160-pounds. On the field he’s a long, lean kid that can scorch a defense any number of ways. The dual-threat signal caller is one of the most mobile quarterbacks in this North Carolina 2028 class, and almost looks like an attacking point guard when putting his foot in the ground. As a member of the star-studded Triad Ducks this past season, he was surrounded by weapons. From what I saw, he did an excellent job of not forcing shots downfield and was OK with scrambling for a big pickup, or hitting his playmakers on underneath routes.

– Really impressive athlete that could have been a top performer at quarterback or defensive back based off what he did all week
– Stands 5-foot-9 and 145 pounds right now and I swear he got taller from the first time I saw him at practice to game day. Exceptional straight line speed and agility
– Originally caught my eye in practice when he was lined up as a wide receiver–and then didn’t even play the position on the game days. A really gifted athlete with a tremendous upside
