This group has some of the greatest measurables I have seen out of a couple of position groups in years, more hog mollies that can finish, LBs with high upside, and one of the best football IQs amongst DBs I have seen in the state. College coaches, if you want a head start of your 2026 recruiting board in South Dakota, you will want to look ahead at this group without question.
Easton is another 2026 SD prospect that saw a position flip from last 2026 update to the linebacker spot. The 6’2 190 pounder, has one of the highest upsides to grow amongst these two groups of stockrisers we have seen today. No question his length shows off longer strides to the ball than some of his competition but developing that strong instinct to the ball will be key for Easton to develop over the coming offseason and beyond as well as developing his downhill footwork. He also can help his exposure by repositioning some of his reps on tape, as I thought I saw more splash plays almost a minute into his tape that pointed me to his game better. If Easton’s upside can cruise into shape, you will see this kid at the next-level.
Asher is a offensive line prospect that show off an effective punch at the point of attack, as a OL/DL target that moved into our top 30 prospects with this last update. His pad-level and reactive footwork show off great consistency throughout his sophomore tape. The 6’0 245 pounder, plays way bigger than his measurables show in the trenches as he shows off great versatility in pass-protection with his combination of blocks he can throw at his defender. I could certainly see Asher becoming a stockriser with our next update for sure, as developing a faster foot speed could rise his stock even further as a OL that certainly shows off loads of finishing ability on the bulk of his blocks. I’ll see Asher May 11th at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Combine in Sioux Falls

As you can imagine as a 6’4 180 pound WR/TE hybrid, Isaak has a big catch radius that pops out swiftly upon entering his highlight reel. He does a heck of a job with his agility off his first step which translates to significant separation beyond the first level of the field. He shows off pure athletic ability while adjusting to the football when it is slightly off his tracking line downfield. He has very long arms yet has the lower-body awareness to assure that his feet are on point especially as a big red-zone threat. Isaac is a young man that I could see college coaches grabbing attention to early as soon as this summer during camp season as I have mentioned before he has the next-level pedigree to his advantage. Isaak is one I can see as an early offer target in a coming year or two in this 2026 class, as he moves up 16 spots to #20 overall.
It has been clear for a while that Rapid City Steven’s 2026 defensive back Henry Telechan Henry Telechan 6’2″ | 180 lbs | DB Rapid City Stevens | 2026 State SD is one of South Dakotas best defensive backs ever since he balled out at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Combine in Aberdeen. The 6’2 180 pounder, shows off such agile change of direction and ball instincts that just gives wide receivers fits, with how much length and physicality he shows off with his tracking ability. Henry’s football IQ also intrigues me, as he seems to always make the PBU versus showing off more risk with the interception when he doesn’t have the perfect positioning he likes. No question our DB2 in South Dakota is going to attract further eyes of college coaches this summer as this should be another Rapid City Stevens target that I will hand out a Division I grade on.

Growth spurts help in recruitment, no question about it but holy smokes do I love too how much growth I have seen in Cody Petersen Cody Petersen 6’6″ | 250 lbs | OL Tea Area | 2026 State SD ‘s footwork since our last update. The 6’6 250 pounder out of Tea Area comes out of his stance with exciting downhill force and has the finishing technique that I strive to see out of all offensive linemen. His smooth body control shows off elusive movement that shows off quickly seen dexterity with his ability to twist and turn with his hands and feet. Cody is a certified road-grader that shows off persistently well-seen pad-level and one you will constantly see as a pull-blocker deep into the second level. If you see his name on your camp rosters this summer, you will want to pay close attention as he is one of my favorite offensive linemen targets to come out of Tea Area since we launched in 2020. Nearly a 3.9 GPA too, so you won’t have a worry academically with this young man. Another 2026 SD prospect amongst our stockrisers up 16 spots to #5 overall.

One of our last stockrisers and a big one (size and stock up wise)from our last South Dakota 2026 update is De Smet offensive linemen Grant Wilkinson Grant Wilkinson 6’8″ | 305 lbs | OL De Smet | 2026 State SD . This is not the first Wilkinson from De Smet we have had on our radar, in fact it is the 3rd since we launched in 2020. As you can imagine at 6’8 305 pounds, Grant is a bully on both sides of the ball at the 9-man level. The leverage he gets with his growing pad-level shows off almost unfair to his competition on tape and it doesn’t matter which side of the ball he lines up on. He has instinctive vision as a defensive tackle no question, but the upside Grant has as an offensive tackle will thrive at the Division I level. Another OL prospect that constantly can press into the second level as one that will draw a ton of attention this summer and beyond. I see Grant as another early offer target in the Dakotas, as our #3 overall prospect and OL1 is up 34 spots from last update due to his excellent sophomore tape and I believe has the highest upside at the next-level in this 2026 class in the Dakotas in my eyes.
