Nate Wahl | Prep Redzone Scout
It took way longer for Henry to get his first offer until recently, as D3 powerhouse St. Johns (MN) swooped into Rapid City and got him his first offer. If you are looking for balance at the safety position between run and pass plays, Henry might be the most balanced safety in this grouping and has progresed significantly in both skillsets since we identified as a sophomnore at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase. The tape from this season even shows some position flexibility at linebacker, which I feel is another viable option for Henry to line up at on Saturdays. He is one of the best all-around safeties that this still available and under recruited in this class. Also boosts a 27 ACT!

The first defensive back on that I am surprised doesn’t have their first offer yet is

of Rapid City Stevens. Henry is one that plays with a chip on his shoulder as he carries one of the biggest motors within this uncommitted lists of defensive backs. Along with that motor, Henry is also one of the most rangy safeties left on this 2026 list as very consistently he gets from sideline to sideline. He has well-versed footwork to play in pass coverage and can play on an island when you need him to with a wide receiver. The 6’2 185 pounder also possesses more game speed than what you might see in a 40-yard dash. The three year starter certainly deservings more attention.

, our DB4 in that class. Henry is a true sideline to sideline safety that has outstanding range and shows off the versatility I want out of a scholarship level safety. That range also blossoms well with his sudden twitch that gets downhill quick as a persistent run stopper. I feel this summer that Henry will finally get the attention he deserves from the college coaches, as not only for his play on the field, I also really like this kid’s character from a locker room perspective.

is one of South Dakotas best defensive backs ever since he balled out at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Combine in Aberdeen. The 6’2 180 pounder, shows off such agile change of direction and ball instincts that just gives wide receivers fits, with how much length and physicality he shows off with his tracking ability. Henry’s football IQ also intrigues me, as he seems to always make the PBU versus showing off more risk with the interception when he doesn’t have the perfect positioning he likes. No question our DB2 in South Dakota is going to attract further eyes of college coaches this summer as this should be another Rapid City Stevens target that I will hand out a Division I grade on.
