Wayne WR Ronnie Staley Ronnie Staley 6’0″ | 160 lbs | WR Wayne | 2025 State WV debuts in the 2025 rankings as the #24 WR in the class and a Top 150 player. The Pioneers aren’t known for their passing game, but Staley was still able to put some good things on film. He flashed enough to warrant looking past modest stats due to scheme and be considered a Top 25 receiver in the class with obvious athletic ability that translates to the next level. Staley led the Pioneers in receiving with just under 400 yards and two touchdowns and was a threat on special teams as well as a returner. He was also the interception leader while picking off 3 passes and can be a DB at the next level too. His natural playmaking ability with the ball in his hands was apparent and more touches in 2024 could allow him to have a breakout senior season. Staley is a three-sport athlete who is also a quality basketball and baseball player which gives him other options for which sport he could play in college.
Fairmont Senior’s Chris Wilson Chris Wilson 5’8″ | 195 lbs | RB Fairmont Senior | 2025 State WV will be an interesting story to watch this upcoming season in the Polar Bears’ crowded running back room. Wilson was a first year player last season coming out for the football team for his junior year and gives them another great ball carrier option. He flashed real potential and upside during his first season on the football field for the Class AA State Champions. Wilson will see snaps at linebacker as well but his 5’8 195 size and natural athletic ability makes him a quality running back prospect who is worthy of D2 looks. He’s someone who should likely be higher in the rankings and may just find himself there with more opportunities in year two with the football program as he battles it out with other talented backs on a deep roster. Don’t be surprised to see him as one of our 2025 stock risers after next season in the final rankings update.

A small school offensive lineman that we have liked a lot dating back to his sophomore season is Moorefield’s Brody See Brody See 6’2″ | 280 lbs | OL Moorefield | 2025 State WV . He was a recent Watch List prospect that we spotlighted and now makes the jump into the rankings as a Top 25 OL in the 2025 class. His physicality jumped out right away when evaluating his junior highlight tape and was a dominant run blocker for the Yellow Jackets in 2023. See has continued adding size over the years and is now listed at 6’2 280 which should allow him to receive some D2 looks during his senior year. Pass blocking is the one area we wanted to see more from him and we’ll get a great opportunity to see that in person at our combine in early May during 1-on-1s. A great camp performance at our combine would make him a candidate to be a stock riser in our summer rankings update, and we are very excited to be able to see him up close in person for an even better gauge of his game.

We always enjoy highlights specialists on our site and in the rankings at a position that goes under the radar for many people and Brooke K Chase Hile Chase Hile 5’11” | 150 lbs | K Brooke | 2025 State WV leaves the Watch List for the rankings in the spring update. Hile was a welcomed addition to the Bruins program coming over from nearby Indian Creek (OH) and put together a successful junior campaign on their best team in a while. The 5’11 150 junior was a reliable and steady specialist for the Bruins in 2023 as he handled the field goal and kickoff duties. Hile went 3/5 on field goals with makes of 31, 35, and 39 yards with the leg to be able to push back closer to 50 yards and above if needed. That consistency and power translated to kickoffs as well where he posted a 24/30 kickoff touchback ratio with a long of 68 yards. The ball jumped off his foot well, and he got a high trajectory on his successful field goal kicks and showed quality drive on kickoffs. With a 5’11 frame, Hile will be able to continue adding mass and strength which will greatly benefit his leg strength and increase his ceiling even further. I would pencil him as a D2 floor prospect who could flirt with some D1 interest if he takes the next step in his development over the off-season and into his senior year.

Another 2025 Watch List offensive lineman who recently got on our radar and was spotlighted in our Watch List Series was North Marion’s Gabe Bland Gabe Bland 6’1″ | 255 lbs | OL North Marion | 2025 State WV . Listed at 6’1 255, if he were just a touch bigger he’d be someone who would likely rank much higher based on film. Even being a bit undersized, North Marion entrusted him with playing tackle, and Bland performed admirably there even with a stockier build. That’s a testament to his athleticism and footwork to be able to play outside without the prototypical length you want in a tackle. His ability to move in space and block in the open field was impressive as he also showed good footwork and quickness. Bland’s level of physicality was also apparent as he plays with an edge and finishes plays until the whistle. I think he’s someone who could be a great D2 guard prospect and could develop into a starter at that level and position. Bland will debut as a Top 25 OL in the 2025 rankings and make our Top 150 during the spring update.
Shady Spring has some talented big men worthy of checking out next season and that includes Nathan Hill Nathan Hill 6’1″ | 285 lbs | DL Shady Spring | 2025 State WV . He debuts as the #20 defensive lineman in the class and a Top 150 player in the 2025 rankings. The 6’1 285 junior sees time on both sides of the line for the Tigers and could also be considered an OL prospect as well where he has starting experience at center and guard. For now, we’ll rank him as a defensive lineman where he showed some quality traits on film during his junior season. Hill is your classic physical run-stuffing defensive tackle who can force double teams and clog running lanes. We’ll get a better look at his game at our combine event in early May on both sides of the line which will be very enlightening for us moving forward. Based on his film, Hill is someone D2 and D3 schools should be watching next season and could earn himself some scholarship opportunities with a strong senior season.

Moorefield kicker Kyle Molen Kyle Molen 5’11” | 150 lbs | K Moorefield | 2025 State WV was an impressive find since our last rankings update and rounds out our Top 150 as the #7 ranked kicker in the class. Molen booted field goals of 49, 38, 36, and 25 yards during his junior season for the Yellow Jackets. He executed all kicking and punting duties in 2023 where he performed well and showed quality traits on film in each phase. Molen has obvious leg strength and power with a solid foundation but can make strides in his quickness operationally with faster mechanics. He’s also a quality overall athlete who isn’t afraid to make a tackle after a kickoff or punt and can even execute a fake when needed with his legs. Molen is another longer-frame specialist who can increase his ceiling with added mass and strength to his body but has a solid floor as a prospect to build on heading into his senior season.
