The dual threat QB from Webster Thomas High School that is a true do it all player for his offense. Levi Kulik Levi Kulik 6’3″ | 200 lbs | QB Webster Thomas | 2025 NY is an upcoming senior that is ready to put on a high-level show for Webster Thomas this fall. Kulik has the pure running ability to take off in any situation that presents itself. Many times, a play would break down and Levi was able to scramble for a large amount of yardage or even a score. The 6’3”, and 190-pound frame certainly was an impactful force running downhill at 2nd and 3rd level defenders. When it comes to the pure passing ability that Levi displayed, there is no doubt that he can make any throw on the field. With a simple flick of the wrist, there is a tremendous amount of power, velocity, and accuracy that comes off Kulik’s throws. Many throws were threaded through the tightest of windows, that was impressive to watch on tape. Kulik will be one of, if not the best QBs to watch in Section V this upcoming fall and no doubt will be electric to see.
Gavin Vander Wal Gavin Vander Wal 6'2" | 210 lbs | QB McQuaid | 2027 NY
Gavin Vander Wal Gavin Vander Wal 6'2" | 210 lbs | QB McQuaid | 2027 NY
A very young QB here, but a promising one that will be interesting to see how he can develop down the road at McQuaid Jesuit High School. Gavin Vander Wal Gavin Vander Wal 6’2″ | 210 lbs | QB McQuaid | 2027 NY is an upcoming sophomore QB that had a big arm for his age to showcase this past season. The ability to make accurate off-platform throws or throws under pressure showed at a tremendous rate on film. Being able to make a quick decision, even when facing the blitz, would show at great heights for Vander Wal. The one trait in Gavins’ play that really stood out, is he is not afraid to take shots to give his receivers a chance to make plays on the football. Sure, that trait can hurt you at times, but it did show that Vander Wal can make impressive throws, especially out near the boundary. Vander Wal does need to continue to develop upon his pure passing mechanic, his footwork inside the pocket and in his drop back, but for his age it was a fun tape to watch. McQuaid Jesuit does have a young QB to develop down the road for the next few seasons, and it will be interesting to see how Vander Wal plays this coming season
Thomas Levans had a heck of a freshman season for Aquinas Institute when he was able to put on a show at the WR position for his team. The ability to make leaping catches in the end zone flashed on his tape, but the quickness to work CBs in the intermediate parts of the field really stood out. Being able to separate from DBs because of his fluid route running would shine, and you can tell that he has a lot of speed all over the field. Levans has a strong ability to make effortless back shoulder catches near the boundary as well that stood out at a high level. Levans could work as the outside receiver and also in the slot. A few times, Thomas was even able to adjust his route for his QB when a play would break down to make a big-time catch for the first down. There is also some versatility in Levans’ game, as he has spent time at the CB position as well. There is room to grow, but certainly a playmaker here with Levans.
Highlights
Joendrick Infante Joendrick Infante 5'10" | 190 lbs | LB Rush-Henrietta | 2027 NY
Joendrick Infante Joendrick Infante 5'10" | 190 lbs | LB Rush-Henrietta | 2027 NY
Joendrick Infante Joendrick Infante 5’10” | 190 lbs | LB Rush-Henrietta | 2027 NY is a beefy LB for Rush Henrietta High School that will be entering into his sophomore season this coming fall. There was a lot to like and to build upon from this past season from the tape that was produced by Infante. One of the biggest takeaways was the speed and brute force that Infante brings when tackling defenders all over the field. Joendrick was a big force when plugging up running lanes, and getting after ball carriers when they may break through to the 2nd level. Being able to read a play more fluently, and not getting displaced/baited, is an improvement that will be one for Infante to make moving down the road. Bringing a high intensity was evident many times after making big tackles or causing turnovers. Infante is a solid LB that will show major strides of improvements down the road for Rush Henrietta and their defense.
Trey Comalla
Trey Comalla
Trey Comalla is an upcoming senior RB for Canandaigua Academy that stands in at a tough 6’0” and weighs 180-pounds. Comalla is an RB that gets up field in a hurry and at an extremely fast level. The contact balance that Trey has, especially when near the goal line, stood out. Comalla is much more of a physical runner that can deliver with a powerful stiff-arm to gain that extra yard. The majority of the snaps for Trey came lined up in the I-formation, and not much receiving work was shown. However, I was impressed by the vision that was displayed by Trey, especially when the designated running lane was not presented. Comalla has the vision to see a 2nd or 3rd opening at a quick rate, and also has the quickness to move in that direction to fight his way for a positive gain. Comalla is a huge senior RB for Canandaigua to utilize in his final season.
Eli Winter
Eli Winter
Eli Winter is a brute OT for Pittsford Mendon High School that will be entering into his senior season this coming year. For Winter, he is a strong OT at the POA that was also a flexible piece on the offensive line for Pittsford Mendon. Winter showed his versatility in being able to be played all over the offensive line, being able to make effective blocks, especially in the run game. The pure physically and aggressiveness to attack the defenders in front of him was a main staple throughout Winters’ tape. Being able to make pancake blocks on defenders showed, especially when Winter was 2–3 yards down the field of play. It will be a huge emphasis for Winter to continue to build upon his footwork in his pass sets to become an explosive force at the OT position for Pittsford Mendon.
