After breaking down some of Saturday’s top performers, here’s my list of Sunday’s top 15U standouts.
In the first place spot on my list is Kevin Johnson, a quarterback for Slaughter House Elite that led his team to a 28-8 win over the West Michigan Drive in the 15U championship game. Johnson went on to earn the MVP award for his performance. In addition to great size and speed off the snap, I liked Johnson’s ability to move around the field and utilize his arm strength to put his team on the scoreboard.

I am also impressed with Jeremiah Dent, a running back for Arkansas Elite 7v7 that established himself offensively on Sunday morning. Despite a close 19-18 loss to the Tennessee Wolfpack, Dent proved his outstanding breakaway speed and catching ability down the stretch, utilizing his size and physical edge to overpower his foe in coverage. I also liked Dent’s ability to utilize his wingspan to attack the ball in the air.

Claiming the number three spot on my list is Romaum Parson, an athlete for Slaughter House Elite that departed from Murfreesboro as a 15U champion. On top of his solid catching ability, Parson’s ability to contain the offense in the backfield impressed me, using his arms to get to the ball and swat the pass to the ground. I also like how Parson can lock down receivers and jump in front of the deep pass.

Justin McGoy
Also proving himself in Murfreesboro was Justin McGoy, an athlete for Tennessee Wolfpack 7on7 that contributed to a 19-18 comeback win over Arkansas Elite 7v7 on Sunday. McGoy’s ability to create seperation off the snap and quickly get open from along the edge caught my attention. I also liked McGoy’s ability to save the drive on third down with his ability to elevate off the ground to haul in the short pass.
Jeremiah Warren
Jeremiah Warren
Another playmaker to make his presence known was Jeremiah Warren, an athlete for TN Stars 7v7 that impressed me offensively and defensively despite a 30-8 loss to Team Showtime 7v7. Warren was a challenge to contain, proving he can utilize his electric speed to get open for the touchdown pass. I also liked Warren’s ability to pick up speed to make crucial defensive stops and shut down the short pass.
