Rocky Mountain has been turning out top tier offensive linemen over the past few years, and has a couple more with Shearing and Jax Tanner Jax Tanner 6’4″ | 275 lbs | OL Rocky Mountain | 2026 State ID coming through the pipeline. Shearing is a very athletic kid with active feet and hands at all times, stays violent in pass protection and shows he can finish blocks downfield with nasty intentions. Although only a Sophomore last season, he was extremely productive from his guard position, showed he can pull and get out in space/block second level defenders and win one on one drive blocks with good bend, pad level, a strong initial strike and creates immediate vertical push. As shearing continues to pack on weight and get into the 270+ range over the next 12 months, he is another name that will be drawing college interest as he has plenty to offer at the next level.
Grimes is a no brainer to move up our offensive line rankings in the next update, and has a massive frame with good length and the ability to continue packing on weight and mass. He is extremely athletic with active feet and hands, and shows he can bend and snap out of his stance. He is one of the more under-rated players in Idaho, and should continue seeing FCS+ interest/offers in the near future. He has already been offered by the hometown Vandals last month, and should gather other Big Sky interest through the Spring and summer. Look for Grimes to be one of the top if not the top offensive line prospects in his class within Idaho next fall.
Monk is one of the better offensive linemen in the region, and has had a very productive off-season at multiple stops and has done a good job competing against some of the best talent in the western region. He was offered by Montana State-Northern earlier last week, and should see a slew of other D3+ colleges show interest and offer as he moves through his Senior season for Eagle. Able to play multiple positions along the interior offensive line, he offers position versatility and is a high IQ kid that should excel at the next level.
Highlights
Brekke is another candidate that should be moving up our 2026 rankings in the next update, and is showing this off season why he is one of the better ’26 recruits Idaho has. He is a very impressive playmaker with good speed downfield, a big catch radius and strong hands while able to make contested catches in traffic. He has impressed at multiple camps/on the 7on7 circuit this early Spring, and should be a big time weapon for Owyhee in the fall and draw college attention.
