Cherokee County Returning QB Picture

<p>Five of the six schools in Cherokee Co return their starting QB in 2024. We take a look at the 5 returning starters ranked by total yards last season according to Maxpreps Stats.</p>   <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='411240' first='Austin' last='Guest'] (Creekview)</strong></p>   <p>The 5'11 185 QB and returning Region OPOY is back for his Senior season with the Grizzles. Guest accounted for 2731 total yards in '23 with 29 total TDs. Got it done with his arm, passing for 1723 yards, and his legs where he rushed for a little over 1000 yards. One of best running QBs in the North Ga area with great vision and athleticism. Has good arm strength and throws his short and long passes on target. Good pocket poise and can use his feet to avoid defenders and throw strikes on the run. Multisport, athletic kid that has above average size and you can see on film he knows and loves the game. Accounted for 1851 yards last season with 21 TDs. Multisport kid that has already scored a 1300 on his SAT and has good upside at the QB position and should be a 4 year starter by the time he graduates. Plays fast and has good poise in the pocket. Has a quick release. Accurate downfield on the long throws when throwing over the top of the defense. The multisport student/athlete is a standout on the diamond and gritty competitor on the football field. Don't let the lean build fool you, Spector is not afraid to stick his nose in their for extra yards and has deceptive speed. Good game manager that is a deep ball threat. Has good zip on his short to medium passes. Scored at least 1 TD receiving, passing and rushing. Elite speed at a reported 4.4 that shows on game film. Good arm that zips passes in tight windows. Excellent passer on the run. Was Region MVP his Sophomore season and was 2nd Team All Region last year after missing the last 4 games. Already receiving D1 looks from Georgia Southern and Middle Tennessee St. among others. Not sure what position he will slide into at the next level but has the talent and speed to play any skill position in college.
