The annual C4 Red River Shootout took place in Durant on Saturday morning and afternoon. The Durant-based tournament has been one of the best one-day tourneys over the last few years and it lived up to the hype again. Prep Redzone Oklahoma was on site from start to finish and we got a chance to see some great football from Oklahoma and some of the surrounding states. In this breakdown, we take a look at some of the top standouts from the host team on Saturday. C4 had a few 18U teams that we got a chance to see and here were some of the top standouts from the action.
Lawton MacArthur 2026 defensive standout Adam Auston Adam Auston 6’2″ | 200 lbs | DB Lawton MacArthur | 2026 State OK is one of the more intriguing defensive prospects in the state’s 2026 class. This time last week, we were writing about Auston as more of a linebacker after watching him out in Tennessee work closer to the line of scrimmage. This week, it’s back to the safety position and Auston was incredibly productive on Saturday afternoon. He made some outstanding plays throughout the tournament once again and he continues to intrigue us with his play on the field. After watching him in multiple tournaments, we know that no matter what position he plays, he’s one of the best in his class.
Highlights
The second 2026 prospect from Lawton MacArthur that stood out is Joshua Rushing Joshua Rushing 6’3″ | 195 lbs | WR Lawton MacArthur | 2026 State OK at the wide receiver position. While Auston dominated on defense, Rushing was flat out special on the offensive side of the ball. Rushing is another C4 player that we’ve seen a handful of times this offseason in various 7v7 tournaments. Saturday’s tournament in Durant was without a doubt the best he’s looked with us watching him in person. He certainly showed why he should be considered one of the best wide receivers in the state and a top ten overall prospect in the state’s 2026 class. The ceiling is incredibly high for him as a prospect.
Valliant 2026 running back Kenny Golston Kenny Golston 6’1″ | 210 lbs | RB Valliant | 2026 State OK continues to impress us this offseason on the 7v7 circuit. On Saturday, Golston might have been the best Oklahoma running back prospect in attendance and once again, he shined as a receiver. And all you have to do is watch a few clips of Golston on film to know that 7v7 isn’t exactly the best part of his game. Taking the pads off him and not allowing him to lower his shoulder is the opposite of his strengths. But he’s quickly becoming a more complete back as he continues to improve as a pass catcher. And as he adds that to his game, he’s going to be very tough to slow down.
Highlights
C4 has been very busy this month and this was the fourth time in the last five weeks that we’ve gotten the chance to watch Honey Grove 2026 running back Ryelan Morris Ryelan Morris 5’10” | 170 lbs | RB Honey Grove | 2026 State TX in person. And whenever you see the same prospect like that so many times in the same month, you can run out of things to say. Because once again, Morris was one of the best prospects in attendance and it didn’t take long to see that with his play on the field. Morris is just so smooth with his movements and the speed is absolutely next level. Every time we’ve seen Morris in the last five weeks, he has always been one of the top guys we watched and this weekend was no different.
