Brayson Albin Brayson Albin 6’1″ | 225 lbs | TE Bob Jones | 2027 AL is a really talented athlete for Bob Jones that can make a ton of plays on both sides of the ball at middle linebacker and tight end- what he’s been able to do early on for them is super impressive and shows just how much potential he has as a prospect. Albin is a really instinctual defender, he sees the field well and can anticipate where the play is heading very quickly. Albin also shows a lot of strength and good tackling techniques early on, he’s able to make a lot of plays against the run filling in gaps/bringing down the ball carrier. On offense, Albin has a lot of talents at tight end. Albin can block really well in the run game and set up some big plays downfield. I think what impresses me most about his play is just how physical of a player he is, he’s not shy of contact and is able to really get after the ballcarrier and assist his teammates. Keep watch of him his sophomore season, he’s got a lot to show!
Highlights
Michael Crum Michael Crum 6’0″ | 165 lbs | DB Mae Jemison | 2027 AL is a versatile defensive back that can line up in multiple spots in Mae Jemison’s secondary and make all sorts of impacts against the run and pass. Crum is excellent in coverage- he lines up all over the field but really impresses me as an outside corner, especially when he’s playing in man coverage. Constantly on film, Crum shows that he can cover guys one on one in crucial situations. He doesn’t allow for much separation, has terrific closing speed, uses his hands really well to jar the ball free, and consistently takes opposing offenses targets out of the passing game. At safety, Crum really impresses me as well with how well he’s able to provide support over the top. He plays zone very well and is able to bait quarterbacks into throwing the ball deep downfield where he is able to then capitalize and get interceptions. Crum is a super solid defensive back already as a freshman with a lot of great tape, he’ll be a key factor for Mae Jemison’s defense this upcoming season- keep watch!

Guy Murphy Guy Murphy 6’3″ | 235 lbs | DL Flomaton | 2027 AL is a really talented defensive linemen in Flomaton’s 2027 class that plays with a real mean streak in the trenches. If there were one way to describe how Murphy plays defense it would be vicious. Murphy is able to explode off the line of scrimmage to make a ton of big plays in the opponents’ backfield- he has quick hands he uses to shed blocks rapidly, throws offensive linemen around with how strong he is, and has the athleticism to make some very impressive tackles both at and behind the line of scrimmage. Murphy is already really valuable rushing the passer as well- he has a variety of pass rush moves he uses to get to the quarterback and does so really often, consistently generating pressure and getting sacks. Keep an eye on Flomaton and more specifically Murphy, he made a whole lot of plays in his freshman season and is set up for a massive second year!

D’ante Seals D’ante Seals 6’3″ | 220 lbs | DL Hewitt-Trussville | 2027 AL has the potential to be one of the next great Hewitt Trussville prospects to hit the scene- what he was able to accomplish on their defense last fall as a freshman was fantastic to watch. Seals was an instant contributor in a tough division and really showed how much potential he has at EDGE. Standing at 6’3 220, Seals already possesses a really athletic build and has the speed, strength, power, and pursuit to match with it. It doesn’t matter if the opposing team runs or passes, he finds a way to get involved. Against the run, he sets the edge very well, can shed blocks with ease, and brings down the ball carrier before they can break past the line of scrimmage. When rushing the passer Seals really uses his build to his advantage- his long arms allow him to cross over and fly by offensive linemen to then bring down the quarterback, and he does it very often. Keep an eye on Seals- he really is an very impressive player already, the sky’s the limit for him!
