Below are ten guys who got more or even their first opportunity to play at the next level this week.
Quante Gillians Quante Gillians 6’4″ | 245 lbs | DL Aquinas | 2025 State NY recruiting holds strong through the winter, South Florida was the latest to offer Gillians who has interest both locally with offers from Pittsburgh, Toledo and Boston College in addition to some out of region offers from Southern Methodist and most recently South Florida.
Gillians a EDGE rusher from Aquinas in New York has been on my radar since he got some varsity reps as a sophomore and grew into a full time starter this past season as a Junior.
Darien Williams Darien Williams 5’10” | 160 lbs | ATH CBA-Syracuse | 2025 State NY jus received some local love as he picked up an offer from Syracuse. Williams already held offers from some of the northeasts top programs at the P4 and G5 level including Penn State. His entire list consists of Penn State, Syracuse, Boston College, Pittsburgh, UConn, Temple, and UMass.
Williams is a dual sport athlete that runs track and has some notable times of 10.8 100m and 21.9 200m last spring. The first team all-state selection already has the accolades and now the offers are rolling in.
Jake Kessner Jake Kessner 6’4″ | 235 lbs | TE Rye | 2025 State NY has the ideal build for the TE position and should continue to gain traction in recruiting due to the limited number of true in-line tight ends in high school football. Kessner, got his first offer in February from Princeton and has continued to get opportunities since. His most recent, which lands him on this list is from Air Force Academy making it 8 total for the top TE in the state. Kessner’s total list includes Princeton, Cornell, Penn, Dartmouth, Army, Air Force, Georgetown, and Monmouth.
Highlights
Blake Belin Blake Belin 6’2″ | 270 lbs | DL Cardinal Hayes | 2025 State NY is going to be near or at the top of every industry ranking for the state of New York when this class graduates. The DL from State Champion Cardinal Hayes is one of the focal points of a program that has seen some major recruiting buzz since being the states top team. Belin just picked up an offer from Towson, the soon to be home of his Cardinal Hayes teammate Cleveland Charlton Cleveland Charlton 6’5″ | 185 lbs | WR Cardinal Hayes | 2024 State NY . Belin adds Towson to a long list of suitors that includes Duke, Boston College, Syracuse, Virginia, Wake Forest, West Virginia, Minnesota, Georgia Tech, Maryland, UConn, Temple, and Jackson State.
Rich Belin Rich Belin 5’11” | 180 lbs | QB Cardinal Hayes | 2025 State NY , the most recent QB in Cardinal Hayes recent success at the position just won one of the most prestigious awards in being named Gatorade New York State Player of the Year and while he has been adding some offers recently, none stand out more than Harvard not only due to their academic prowess and their recent success and football but it is also home to the previous Gatorade New York State Player of the Year in QB Dante Torres. Belin has offers from nearly in the entire IVY league in addition to some a 1AA offer from powerhouse William & Mary.

Reid Jones Reid Jones 6’2″ | 185 lbs | WR Cardinal Hayes | 2025 State NY had a strong season as one of the top receiving options on Cardinal Hayes, Jones just picked up offers from Harvard and Dartmouth on back to back days to add to his collection of high academic offers and interest at the 1AA level. Jones continues to capitalize off a strong season and now holds opportunities to play at the next level from Harvard, Dartmouth, Yale, Georgetown, Fordham, William & Mary, Brown, Columbia, and LIU.
Highlights
Ameir Morrow Ameir Morrow 5’11” | 185 lbs | RB Erasmus Hall | 2026 State NY picked up his first offer not too long ago from Boston College and just added Syracuse to his list. Morrow continues the long line of Erasmus Hall talent that continues to get recruited early. Morrow is the key piece to a strong 26′ class coming from Flatbush Ave. My eyes have been on Morrow several times so far, he went on a run as a freshman during the playoffs scoring TDs in multiple playoff games for Erasmus Hall and grew into his role as one of the key offensive pieces for a team with D1 talent at multiple positions.
Jacob “Hurricane” Butler Jacob “Hurricane” Butler 5’10” | 165 lbs | ATH Long Island Lutheran | 2026 State NY out of Long Island Lutheran is one of the best playmakers on the island and just picked up an offer from Buffalo. Butler continues to progress and so does his recruitment, before the season started East Carolina and LIU extended offers. Atfer the season, big programs such as Boston College, Duke, and Syracuse all jumped in the mix. Buffalo makes it 6 for Butler who is also one of the better track sprinters in the state of New York.
Highlights
Javon Lawrence Javon Lawrence 6’2″ | 170 lbs | DB North Rockland | 2025 NY gets his first offer from the largest school in the state Syracuse, Lawrence a DB for North Rockland has been dominante on the track for a while running notable times of 10.78 100m and 6.54 55m indoor times. On the field, Lawrence was a key piece in the secondary for North Rockland’s 7-3 season. Lawrence’s speed alone will start to attract the interest of other programs and he should be in for a busy spring of visits and camps.
DJ Williams has been on my radar for multiple seasons, he has a ton of experience as a varsity starter for two years in a high powered Archbishop Stepinac offense. Williams had offers from UConn and UNLV two really solid programs who were high on him early, recently his recruiting has generated some buzz as Duke, Syracuse, Boston College, Fordham, and Buffalo all jumped in the mix. Williams lands on this list because of his most recent offer which came today from Monmouth, a 1AA program who has taken some really solid players from New York in recent years.
