Takori Davis
Takori Davis
Davis was a disruptive defender off the edge for Madison this season accumulating 56 tackles, 6 sacks, and 12 TFLs. He’s a strong, fluid athlete possessing the strength to match up over IOL and the speed, length, and range to make plays out on the edge over OTs. He’s quick off the ball, utilizes his reach/leverage effectively when locked out with OL, and shows pure effort as a tackler. Davis would be a steal at this late state of the recruiting process with his effectiveness in both the run/pass game and physical upside as a rusher.
Moshi Tileia
Moshi Tileia
Tileia led a strong Granite Hills defense in TFLs with 13 as a senior this season. He’s a bully in the interior with overpowering strength and physicality at 6’/260. He utilizes active, violent hands as a block-shedder and possesses the ability to completely disrupt the inside run game with sheer power and strength. He moves well for his size and should continue to add mass to his frame. Tileia, a first team All-CIF selection this season, is easily among the top available DTs in San Diego. Senior Highlights
Christopher Hughes
Christopher Hughes
Hughes was an extremely productive and versatile front-seven defender for the D-III section champs this season. The La Jolla Country Day senior totaled 136 tackles, 9 TFLs, and a team-leading 7 sacks from his MLB, OLB, DE spots. He’s quick to trigger downhill as an off-ball defender and shows the speed and athleticism to tackle sideline-to-sideline. He’s effective as a speed rusher off the edge with the lateral range and closing speed to create negative plays in the backfield. Hughes would be a solid offer candidate for any D-II/D-III programs looking for versatile front-seven defenders.
Kade Wilken
Kade Wilken
Wilken earned DPOY honors in the Avocado League after racking up 59 tackles, 13 sacks, and 11 TFLs for Torrey Pines’ defense this season. He’s a fast, athletic rusher off the edge that can get to the QB and create negative plays in a variety of ways. He creatively sets up his pass rush moves with twitchy movement, closes on the ball with obvious straight-line speed, and maintains low pad level through the POA to explosively drive through ball-carriers. Wilken is an underrated DE- likely due to his slender frame for the position (6’1”/215)- but offers untapped athletic upside at the next level.
Lucas Miller
Lucas Miller
Miller was a breakout defender in North County leading San Marcos’ defense in tackles (100), sacks (11), and TFLs (19) this season. He’s an athletic off-ball LB that likes to play downhill between the OTs and create negative plays in the backfield. He’s a fast, fluid mover with the lateral speed to track out wide and plays with great motor to the football. He can slip and avoid potential blockers and uses speed to his advantage against slower moving OL. Miller offers LB value at the next level as an active, athletic tackler.
Jacob Raher
Jacob Raher
Raher’s a skilled, athletic LB that excels in space and pass coverage situations. Ramona’s senior defender totaled 71 tackles, 4 sacks, 6 TFLs, and 2 INTs on the season. He’s lanky for a front-seven defender at 6’/180 with the skillset and mobility to potentially play SS in the secondary at the next level. He’s smart and instinctive in zone coverage and can consistently put himself in position to make plays on the ball. Raher’s an intriguing defensive prospect with natural versatility on the defensive side of the ball.
