There were multiple prospects that climbed upwards from within the Top 12 of our rankings, into the Top 5 as we recognize those that cracked the top five this week.
Fresh off getting his second Division I offer tonight from the FCS National Champions, we meet Grand Forks Red River offensive linemen JB Walters JB Walters 6’4″ | 260 lbs | OL Grand Forks Red River | 2025 State ND who is up six spots to #5 overall in our 2025 North Dakotas. Before we get into his skillsets on why he moved up, I have to shoutout that JB is one of my favorite prospects in North Dakota from a character perspective and it’s no surprise to us that college coaches feel at the Division I level that he could be a game-changer in the locker room from a culture perspective. The quickness JB shows on tape from his overall bend and posture, down to his footwork set the tone for why he gets devastating leverage with his strength and pad-level to maintain well-seen control of the defensive end from start to finish. I love how JB has developed from his sophomore season with his angle blocking, as he seems to show much more balance and finish on tape. Moving up our rankings is tough, but moving up six spots when you are this deep in the 2025 class is even tougher. Twitter

Another athletic specimen that moved up seven spots in this North Dakota 2025 class is QB/ATH Walker Braaten Walker Braaten 6’3″ | 180 lbs | QB Westhope | 2025 State ND out of Westhope. At 6’4, this kid’s athletic mobility is incredible for his size on either side of the ball. Walker’s length and how dominant as a strong safety he shows off to be as his excellent length will certainly appeal to all Division I programs. The instinct Walker plays with his quick steps to the ball certainly show off why the FCS offers have come in and the FBS offers are in pursuit in my eyes. This kid is one of the biggest swiss army knife’s North Dakota has to offer in the 2025 class by far. Twitter

Joe is another 2025 North Dakota prospect on the rise within the top 10 in the Roughrider State, moving up four spots from #7 to #3, still remaining DB1 in North Dakota. Joe showed consistent dominance already this winter by locking up a now back to back DB MVP award at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase. The physicality Joe shows off with his very agile footwork allows him to instinctively slow down the receiving core early within their route, and that is seen on tape and in-person evals on a constant basis. He has certainly developed on tape, showing off the length and vertical he has to defend deeper routes with his sound athleticism. Joe recently got two Group of Five offers from out east and down south, and he shows off a prospect that is certainly destined for more within the next five months especially when prospect camps heat up.
