Expert Analysis
Nate Wahl | Prep Redzone Scout
Joe is another 2025 North Dakota prospect on the rise within the top 10 in the Roughrider State, moving up four spots from #7 to #3, still remaining DB1 in North Dakota. Joe showed consistent dominance already this winter by locking up a now back to back DB MVP award at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase. The physicality Joe shows off with his very agile footwork allows him to instinctively slow down the receiving core early within their route, and that is seen on tape and in-person evals on a constant basis. He has certainly developed on tape, showing off the length and vertical he has to defend deeper routes with his sound athleticism. Joe recently got two Group of Five offers from out east and down south, and he shows off a prospect that is certainly destined for more within the next five months especially when prospect camps heat up. has had a fast-tracking first 6 weeks of the 2023 season. He has grown significantly with his vision no matter where he is on the football field as swiss army knife that has been dynamic in pass coverage as well week after week with how fluid his ball-tracking is along with his awareness getting his head around. He has a long reach at 6’1 that has agile footwork to jump the route or offensively, use his stretching upper body as a pass-catcher that does not need much space to operate in high-traffic areas and shows off a quick twitch to stretch into the open field with his elite vision. Joseph moves up three spots from #9 overall to #6 overall, which carries more weight than the numbers shown within our top 10 overall prospects. Twitter

Stat Line: 147 total yards, four touchdowns, one kick return, one interception, three pass break ups.
Joseph started off his Week 2 by showing off those long downhill strides where he took a kick return for a touchdown as this kid keeps impressing with how much burst he has especially in the open field. Consistently on his wide receiver reps, Joseph is shows off a wide receiver you have to let him go get it as he has locked in attention to detail with his constantly improving vision in the receiving core even though he’s our DB1 in the Dakotas. He showed off a growing catch radius and those agile steps took one defender out of their shoes, as Joseph keeps delivering big games week after week in his junior season for the Thunder. Twitter

yet again after an impressive showing at one of our Prep Redzone Showcases, showed off his continued length taking shape in the 1v1 reps I got to watch, as even since May, Joseph has taken his game up a handful of notches with his ball-tracking and recognizing how to utilize his length with a smoother base. He also has from what I recall gotten his pro agility numbers down as well, recording a high 4.2 which is about .15 seconds better from what I call from our spring PRZ Dakotas Showcase. Joseph I also feel has rose up his ceiling with his vision, as I thought his physicality had improve slightly within routes by how close-knit he was playing with the WRs he went up against. I have already heard college coaches being ready for the 2025 floodgates to open up for recruiting this young man as Joseph should see plenty of next-level interest come his way as DB1 in the Dakotas.
