Continue ReadingWhenever I evaluate the testing portion of our Prep Redzone Showcases, I put a lot of stock in prospects that get better from rep #1 to rep #2 which was the case with Aberdeen Central 2024 defensive back Brayden Comstock2 Brayden Comstock2 DB Aberdeen Central | 2024 SD . The instinct that Brayden has with his ball-tracking ability is fun to watch, as Brayden has well-versed awareness with his athletic mobility on the fly. He showed off a 4.67 pro agility time and on tape I believe this young man plays with a more catchy change of direction than that time will show. He is a two-way 2024 prospect still waiting for his first offer and certainly is one that would be on my radar to offer right now.
Brayden was a defensive back prospect out of Grand Forks Central in the 2025 class that made a handful of splash plays in 1v1s that caught my eyes. He showed off great attention to detail in those reps as a defensive back you can tell that has growing vision and instincts that are growing quickly. Where else Brayden impressed was his change of direction on those reps as this young man showed off his versatility and recorded a 7.29 L-Drill, and a 4.69 pro-agility which pointed to his development in Jamestown at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase. Brayden is a DB prospect that brings plenty of upside going into the offseason, and is one that I would expect a jump on our 2025 North Dakota rankings by the next update that will be coming soon.

Kade was yet another defensive back prospect out of DGF that I tracked that I was a big fan of his physical nature in some of the reps I watched out of him in coverage. Kade certainly showed off a sizable nose for the ball as a prospect that was poised in tight windows of opportunity on Sunday in Jamestown. He also showed off more of a vertical than you would expect and I liked the dynamic football IQ he brought to the table, and I believe there is room to grow that even further this offseason into next fall as another prospect at defensive back that I believe can play on Saturdays.
Outside of our DB MVP, West Fargo Packers 2026 defensive back Aiden Samek Aiden Samek 5’9″ | 165 lbs | DB West Fargo | 2026 State ND was one of my favorite defensive backs at the Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase in Jamestown as a 1st-Team All-Camp Team nomination. The first word I had in my notepad to describe Aiden’s skillsets in my notepad was smooth, as from what I watched in 1v1s this young man just played with ample poise and showed off a high football IQ in my eyes. Aiden also carried the instincts with the ball in the air to glue down the ball carrier with his physical presence, as I thought Aiden played way bigger than the 5’9 160 pounds he is listed as. It also is highly impressive that Aiden was one of two prospects from our Showcase that came away with 1st-Team honors without tape yet available which I will sure to keep tracking it on Hudl as this young man is going to be a DB to watch out of Fargo next fall.
