Before we get into his skillsets on why he moved up, I have to shoutout that JB is one of my favorite prospects in North Dakota from a character perspective and it’s no surprise to us that college coaches feel at the Division I level that he could be a game-changer in the locker room from a culture perspective. The quickness JB shows on tape from his overall bend and posture, down to his footwork set the tone for why he gets devastating leverage with his strength and pad-level to maintain well-seen control of the defensive end from start to finish. I love how JB has developed from his sophomore season with his angle blocking, as he seems to show much more balance and finish on tape. Moving up our rankings is tough, but moving up six spots when you are this deep in the 2025 class is even tougher. Twitter

Yesterday was a big day for Grand Forks Red River offensive linemen JB Walters JB Walters 6'4" | 260 lbs | OL Grand Forks Red River | 2025 State ND , as he picked up his first Group of Five offer from Air Force which is only the beginning of his next-level opportunities. JB shows off plenty of versatile skillsets when you dive into his junior tape, as he is a constant winner of leverage and also has always shown off to me as a productive angle blocker that with his football IQ very much understands the pad-level to finish his blocks. At 6’4 260 pounds, I would expect the floodgates to open further for JB at the FCS and FBS levels over the next 3-5 months. Twitter

Another 2025 prospect that popped out in Week 7 was Grand Forks Red River offensive linemen JB Walters JB Walters 6'4" | 260 lbs | OL Grand Forks Red River | 2025 State ND . The amount of controlled strength JB showed off in Week 7 as he showed off a prospect that can drive consistently into the second level and also has grown with his agile first step as a pull blocker against Fargo North. JB also was excellent against the Spartans with his angle-blocking, as he won several 1v1 battles by getting his defender off balance with the strength that his punching ability carried. JB also showed off plenty of finish with the reps I saw as an OT prospect that will continue looking for contact until the whistle blows. Twitter

This was my first time watching Grand Forks Red River’s JB Walters JB Walters 6'4" | 260 lbs | OL Grand Forks Red River | 2025 State ND in person, and I left with an even better impression of one of the top 2025 offensive line prospects North Dakota has to offer. My evaluation of JB started with how athletic and fluid he looked with his bend at the line for his 6’4 size. I also love this young man’s character as he seems like a well-rounded prospect not just on the field but off the field. JB brings plenty of versatile skillsets on tape, as one that has efficent foot speed off the snap with his pull-blocking skilsets to working his vision around the interior of the offensive line especially in pass protection as he has superb awareness. JB also has a well-rounded punch with great balance as on tape as you will always see him reading the field for the best opportunity to punch a defender in the mouth while making sure he opens a hole for his running back which speaks highly to his football IQ. No doubt in my eyes JB looks like a Division I IOL in the coming years with his versatility.
