Moving on to Offensive Linemen, below are some of the Class of 2026 rising stars who balled out last fall.
Riordan is a long and athletic offensive tackle out of Hinsdale Central. The 6’5, 275 lbs sophomore was incredibly impressive last season, as he plays with great physicality and technique. Riordan is a smooth puller, as he can easily work out of his stance and move towards the edge to pave rushing lanes for his running backs. On combo blocks, Riordan’s polished footwork allows him to hammer the nearest defensive tackle and work to the second level to bury opposing linebackers. As Riordan adds weight this off season, keep an eye on this rising star over the next 2 years.
Schrieber is a massive 6’7, 330 lbs left tackle out of Marist. Although the sophomore boasts some next level size, his physicality and nastiness are the most impressive part of his game. Schrieber plays without fear, running over and pancaking anyone in his path. It all starts with his strong punch, as the powerful offensive linemen gets low and uses his arms to knock back defenders. This punch translates in his pass protection too, as Schrieber has the footwork and hands to win against quicker pass rushers. As he heads towards his junior campaign, Schrieber’s stock is on the rise.

Thomann is one of the most underrated players in the Class of 2026. The 6’7, 290 lbs offensive tackle out of Olney is as polished as it gets, especially considering his age. Thomann has all the intangibles of a big time college prospect, including size, athleticism, and technique. He is athletic enough to pull on GT counter schemes, easily working his way up to the second level to run over opposing defenders. In pass protection, Thomann’s long arms and quick footwork allows him to stay in front of oncoming pass rushers. Colleges won’t want to miss out on this Illinois rising star in Thomann.

Gamble is a 6’4, 250 lbs offensive tackle out of Homewood Flossmoor. As a starter on varsity this past fall, Gamble proved that the bright lights weren’t too much to handle. He held his own week in and week out, showcasing his athleticism and physicality in both the run game and pass protection. Once Gamble gets moving, he uses his momentum and leverage extremely well to create rushing lanes. In pass protection, Gamble has smooth footwork and a polished kick step. As he continues to fill out his frame, Gamble projects as a big time offensive line prospect in the Land of Lincoln.
Spivery is a 6’2, 310 lbs left guard out of Brother Rice. He spent the majority of the season at the sophomore level and absolutely dominated on nearly every rep. While Spivery has great size, he also displays tremendous athleticism in both the run game and pass protection. It all starts with his base, as Spivery plays with quick feet and a strong lower half that allows him to work to the second level, pull, and handle 3 techniques 1-on-1 in the pass game. As Spivery heads to varsity next year, keep an eye on this rising star in the state of Illinois.
