Expert Analysis
Scott Burgess | Prep Redzone Scout
Gamble is a 6’5″ 250 pound right tackle for HF. Have to like the athleticism and power combination he brings to the table. Can get to the second level and drives on run blocks. Solid pass protector on the right side.

Kellen is an intriguing prospect at OT. I won’t be surprised if we see things really ramp up for him after a couple weeks of film come out this all. As a sophomore he already was showing exciting traits. He is a massive prospect with length and mass. The huge OT is so nimble on his feet. He can easily pull across the formation or get across his man’s face and get his butt to the hole soon after the snap. Kellen also has the power to drive his man straight back off the line, and his play in double teams creates a huge wave of bodies. I’m excited to see how his game has developed this fall.

Gamble is a 6’4, 250 lbs offensive tackle out of Homewood Flossmoor. As a starter on varsity this past fall, Gamble proved that the bright lights weren’t too much to handle. He held his own week in and week out, showcasing his athleticism and physicality in both the run game and pass protection. Once Gamble gets moving, he uses his momentum and leverage extremely well to create rushing lanes. In pass protection, Gamble has smooth footwork and a polished kick step. As he continues to fill out his frame, Gamble projects as a big time offensive line prospect in the Land of Lincoln.

. Kellen is a very athletic OL prospect who is effective while on the move. You see him doing a lot of pulling on his highlights, and for good reason. Kellen has great range, has the balance and body control to be able to hit the smaller targets while on the move, and he transitions that range into power on contact consistently well. Gamble also shows that he can line up in the trenches and overpower the big DL. The talent is there, and there is so much room to further develop his game. The sky is the limit for Kellen. Give him a look.

measures in at 6’5, 250 lbs. with room to grow, fill out, and add a ton more good weight these next three years of high school action. As a JV OT last fall with the Vikings, Gamble was especially impressive when moving and blocking in space, and showed that he was able to stay controlled to line up and take out smaller/quicker defenders like a lineman 50 pounds lighter. He’s got some pop at the point of attack, shows off lateral agility that can react to quicker defensive linemen around the LOS, and is tough to disengage from and can adjust to defensive linemen’s counters and efforts to shed and detach when he gets hands-on and starts to run his feet. Gamble is a controlled and balanced athlete for his size and age and follows in the footsteps of some extremely accomplished Vikings OL before him.
