A common word you will see out of this batch of quarterback standouts that excelled on Friday which is the word under. Under the Radar, Undersized, and Underclassmen are all the words to describe this batch of quarterbacks yet each one of these young men certainly possess the skillsets to play at the next-level.
Beckham is a 2026 quarterback out of Mounds View that I have seen solid growth from since my last live evaluation. What stood out the most at Friday’s session was the developed mechanics I saw from him as I thought his arm motion stuck thru with more fluidity and speed than I had witnessed previously. I liked the natural instinct Beckham threw with on Friday as you can tell his poise has grown since posting his highlight tape as he is growing more comfortable in the pocket from the reps I watched. At 6’4 205 pounds, Beckham has plenty of upside to grow with two more years of high school football and looks like a prospect you will see on Saturdays.

Nick is a quarterback prospect I have covered frequently and been high on for a few years now, and every time I re-evaluate what I saw from him as a middle schooler versus now, his skillsets keep selling that gunslinger mentality. I continued to be impressed with Nick’s attention to detail throughout the camp as I thought his focus by slowing down his early reps to really perfect the coaching he was given, sparked better fluidity in his arm mechanics the later we got into camp and watched him in drills. Nick was one of the top performers in my eyes from Friday night as he was one of the top quarterbacks especially with the off-platform throwing drills as he used his mobility at 6’3 210 to his advantage as the instincts certainly came out. The excellent instinct Nick has with his quick release is a heck of a fun watch on tape and it paints why FBS offers have already landed his way from across the country and he certainly is just getting started.

If I had to toss out an overall MVP from Friday night’s session in Savage, my vote would likely fly to Maple Grove 2027 quarterback Thor Soukup Thor Soukup 6’1″ | 205 lbs | QB Maple Grove | 2027 MN . Not only has Thor grown his development since my last live evaluation, but the poise this young man has as a 2027 prospect is going to shine bright over the coming years as he’s built more like an upperclassmen in that regard. Thor also looked like he has grown in the weight room since last time I watched him and now 6’1 200 pounds. Thor showed off a quarterback that excels with his arm on all three levels of the field and his quick release and high football IQ showed off plenty of excellent precision on his intermediate and deep routes with the wide receivers. Thor also surprised some in attendance with how quickly he excelled with his off platform throws. I have a gut feeling that Thor is certainly going to be a Saturday’s prospect at the Division I level which we will find out in a handful of years.

Beau Anderson

One of the prospects that was a first look prospect for me in last Friday night’s session was Forest Lake 2025 quarterback Beau Anderson. Despite being under the radar with limited tape, Beau showed more poise than I expected while inside the pocket and I believe can have a big offseason of development of his footwork and escalating his progressions. He showed off that he has the good touch with his arm strength on intermediate routes and is one with upside thru the roof where his game can take him over the next 7-10 months.
Gaven is a 2025 prospect that has shined during the Midwest 7v7 circuit before, so it shouldn’t be a surprise to our Minnesota subscribers that the Lakeville South quarterback appears on our standout list yet again. The release we saw last Spring has certainly more fluidity and speed to it, as I felt Gaven’s balance in the pocket had also improved from the reps I watched out of him throughout Friday night. I also felt Gaven was one of the most less uncomfortable 2025 quarterback prospects during the off-platform throwing drills, as if you watch the tape this kid’s durability y is fearless which is why I could tell his vision was relatively unphased by some pressure. Gaven certainly fits the bill as a 2025 prospect that will get some attention this summer, as having the family college football pedigree (Camden, his brother, is a QB at Sioux Falls) always helps the speed of younger brother’s development.
