Chris is a DT in a 40-front to watch on Patriot’s defense. He started as a freshman last season and should only get better. What stands out in his film is that you can see visible improvement in his technique from the first week and the last week. He has developed a rip move in block shedding that you see him utilize a lot, and as the season progressed, he improved his use of hands to strike an offensive lineman to keep him out of his frame. Shows quickness in pass rushing that allows him to collapse the pocket. Chris has a lot of upside in his game and I will be excited to see his growth over the next few seasons.
Highlights
Anthony is an off ball linebacker in a 40-front defense who spent time on Patriot’s Freshmen and JV teams in 2023. Shows patience in his run/pass read at the snap, with solid closing speed to his gap in run defense. Shows good physical toughness, willing to play downhill and force contact at the line of scrimmage and is a good tackler. Shows good blitz timing, allowing the defensive linemen to engage the offensive linemen and finding the seam to rush through with good closing speed and finish on the QB to make a sack.
Highlights
Brady spent time on all levels this past season playing on Patriot’s freshman, JV, and varsity teams. His film shows position flexibility at WR, QB, and LB. WR looks to be his future on offense, but his QB flexibility provides options for Patriot. He has good foot quickness, shows the ability to separate as a WR in his routes, and displays some elusiveness after the catch. On defense, he displays solid range in outside run defense and is a sure tackler. Brady looks to be a good player for Patriot in the coming seasons, be sure to keep an eye on him.
Highlights
Noah is a player you will want to keep an eye on. He has solid height and good size and was playing for Craig County’s varsity team in 2023 as a Running Back and Outside Linebacker. His competitive toughness and effort sick out on film as he plays through the whistle. As a RB, he is a tough runner showing strength, balance, and burst through the hole. At LB, he shows good point strength when taking on blocks, engaging with his hands to create separation, and can shed the blocks to tackle the ball carrier. Expect Noah to be a playmaker this upcoming season as he continues to improve his game.
Highlights
Ty’jae has a special combination of speed and strength as a runner. As a freshman playing varsity in 2023, he accumulated 1,505 yards, 16 TDs and was given 2nd Team All-Region honors. He has very good agility, acceleration, and short area quickness, with very good patience and vision as a runner, keying on his block with very good burst through the hole, displaying very good running strength and balance. In the open field, he has very good change of direction and elusiveness able to stop and go in one step. Can run routes out of the backfield, displaying soft hands, and quickly transitions himself into a runner after securing the catch. You do not want to miss Ty’jae’s film.
