Isaac Richardson | Memorial | 2026
In his sophomore season, Richardson demonstrated a physical and aggressive playing style, particularly excelling at penetrating through gaps and disrupting plays in the backfield. His ability to locate the ball carrier and make impactful stops showcased his instincts and defensive talent. Additionally, Richardson displayed versatility by performing well in coverage, reading the quarterback’s eyes, and making plays on the ball in the air. His quickness and sideline-to-sideline coverage highlighted his speed and agility. Richardson played like a seasoned vet, positioning himself as a crucial player for the Mustangs in the years ahead.
Blake Barry | Stratford | 2025
Barry exhibited promise as an outside linebacker, particularly showcasing his skills in rushing off the edge. Kyle Provost | Cypress Ridge | 2025
Provost showed an insane burst off the snap from his outside linebacker position. His speed off the edge was unmatched and he did an excellent job of fighting off reach blocks, keeping containment, and not allowing anything outside of him. Provost consistently applied pressure on quarterbacks, showcasing exceptional redirection and closing speed. His disruptive presence in the backfield, especially when left unblocked, did not go unnoticed on the field. With the talent to significantly impact game outcomes through his rushing ability, Provost is poised to be a player garnering attention as he enters his senior season.
Tiergan Burl | Stratford | 2025
Burl’s standout quality on the field lies in his ability to read, diagnose, and swiftly react to plays. By following his keys, Burl consistently positioned himself to make impactful tackles, both behind the line of scrimmage and in open-field situations. His heightened awareness and capacity to drop back into coverage, creating turnovers, proved to be significant assets for the Spartan defense.
