PRZPA Camp Preview: Questions I Want Answered, LBs
In this article:
Question: Is Romano a Top 150 prospect?
If you place inside the Top 250 heading into your senior year, you’ve received a Division One grade out of me. Springfield’s Nate Romano Nate Romano 6’2″ | 215 lbs | LB Springfield | 2025 State PA posted undeniable tape that left me no choice but to boost him into the Top 25% of his class. Somehow, I still feel like I’m a bit too low on the junior captain. I have a feeling he’s going to fit right in with the likes of Kiersch and Bueno at this camp. Will I end up rethinking Romano’s ranking after this one? Will an MVP performance force my hand? I hope so, with each passing day I’m becoming more of a fan.

Question: Can he win MVP among the best LB group present?
The margin between Kiersch and the top five is slim. I wake up and contemplate moving Kiersch anywhere from the 2 to 12 spot on our lists, it can be that volatile. One thing’s for certain, this young man is one of the best prospects in his state regardless of class or position. A program recruiting him will immediately bolster their program by adding the junior Danville backer. The question above is almost silly, there isn’t a backer in the state Kiersch can’t perform well beside. In fact, he’s my favorite to set the standard again, he does so every time he attends an event.

Question: What’s his ceiling? Is this a Power Five prospect developing under our eyes?
If Coach LaRoi Johnson gives me a tip on a kid in his program, I’m more than inclined to believe he’s got a stud on his hands. Imani Christian’s William Gorman’s tape fascinated me, enough to rank him inside the Top 100 based on upside alone. Then the Akron offer came through to further solidify my previous grade. Gorman is on the cusp of ranking alongside the best of the best in his class, will he perform like a kid developing, one with a ton of upside? Or will Gorman come in ready to prove he belongs next to the biggest names in his class? A ton of focus will be paid to this sophomore tomorrow night.

Question: Complete unknown, can he impress enough to get ranked?
A completely new name on my radar. There’s nothing I love more than putting a new name on the map, I hope Reading’s Labonte forces my hand a bit here. He’s going to compete against great RBs and LBs alike, standing out among this group will do wonders for his stock. I want to come away from the camp knowing I HAVE to get him on our ranks this next coming update. Performing well during the testing period could be a quick way to draw scouts’ attention. 1v1s will do the trick of course. 6’2, 190, boasts a 3.7 GPA, first year as a starter on defense.
Question: Can we get a combine eye-opening performance, one enough to sell to Power Fives?
Khalid Bueno is a solidified star in the state, a prospect with many opportunities stacking up behind the scenes. A front-seven dominator, one with a 3.1 GPA, a workout warrior, coaches at MLK sing his praises left and right, the young man checks off several boxes on and off the field. How can Bueno elevate his stock here? In terms of ranking, that would be tough to do, seeing as though he already stands as a top 50 prospect in his class. What he can do, is post a Broad, 40, L-drill, or Shuttle time that forces me to pick up the phone and tell P5s about it. We know how crucial testing is for decision-makers at the highest level, having Bueno post a dominant time could prove to be crucial in the eyes of those recruiting him. I’ll be the first to let anyone know if and when he does.
Question: What’s his ceiling? Was I too harsh/light on my recent ranking?
I overthink my rankings a ton once they’re posted. Landon Kehoe Landon Kehoe 6’1″ | 200 lbs | LB Danville | 2026 State PA , a newer name on my radar, placed inside the top 30 at his position among 2026 prospects. That’s a compliment, but will the Danville backer, like many Danville prospects have before him, outperform his ranking? Are his measurables legit? Love his tape, can he perform well in shorts and a T-shirt? Is this ranking his ceiling, or can Kehoe develop into a prospect worthy of a D1 grade before he sees the field as a junior? I look back at how Kiersch rose through our ranks as a young star, can Kehoe pave a similar path?
