Continue ReadingAfter the Prep Redzone Next Southeast Middle School Camp at the Siegel Soccer Complex in Murfreesboro last weekend, it’s time to highlight some intriguing 2028s and 2029s from the Bluegrass State that made their presence known in front of a variety of different positional coaches and scouts. Without any further ado, here’s my list of the top Kentucky 2028s and 2029s to get more familiar with.
At the top of my list of notable performers is Connor Blevins Connor Blevins 6’2″ | 290 lbs | OL Northern Pulaski | 2028 KY , an offensive lineman at Northern Pulaski Middle School. What impressed me about Blevins was his efficient movement, utilizing strong footwork and physicality in the pocket to send a message. Blevins also stood out with his ability to overpower his opponent during positional drills, finishing the camp as the offensive linemen MVP.
Highlights
I am additionally impressed with Kyle Sledge Jr. Kyle Sledge Jr. 6’0″ | 185 lbs | ATH Bowling Green | 2028 KY , an athlete at Bowling Green Middle School. In addition to excellent height and a solid wing span, Sledge caught my attention with his breakaway speed and catching ability down the stretch. Sledge also made a difference in coverage, using his physical edge to get in prime catching position during the positional drills portion of the camp.

Claiming the number three spot on my list is Jaxon Wells Jaxon Wells 6’0″ | 220 lbs | DL KY , a defensive lineman at Northern Pulaski Middle School. What stood out about Wells was his overwhelming physical strength during one-on-one drills, using his core strength to stun his opponent and find space in the pocket. Wells also impressed me with his execution, utilizing his relentless toughness to earn the defensive linemen MVP award.
Highlights
Another prospect to show off his skillset was Winston Ford Winston Ford 5’10” | 155 lbs | RB Northern Pulaski | 2028 KY , a running back at Northern Pulaski Middle School. What I liked about Ford’s playstyle was his overall explosiveness on the ground, showcasing his electric speed and strong footwork in the pocket. I also liked Ford’s effort during positional drills, proving he could consistently maneuver the field and use space to his advantage

Coming in at number five on my list is Jett Reynolds, a wide receiver at Bowling Green Middle School. Reynolds caught my attention with his ability to efficiently execute warm-up drills early on in the showcase as well as his catching ability during positional drills. Reynolds also proved himself in coverage, capitalizing on his electric speed to become a wide open target for the quarterback in the backfield.
