After revealing my All-Camp First Team, it’s time to focus our attention to a list of high-level playmakers that made a convincing case for my All-Camp Second Team list.
At the top of my list of impactful prospects is Reece Reynolds Reece Reynolds 6’0″ | 165 lbs | QB Knox Doss | 2028 TN , a quarterback at Knox Doss Middle School. Reynolds caught my attention during positional drills, showing off his arm strength and ability to hit receivers in stride down the stretch. On top of his quick release off the whistle, I liked how Reynolds could scan the field for his man and capitalize on opportune moments to throw the ball.

Another playmaker that caught my attention was Ja’Vonni Malone Ja’Vonni Malone 5’8″ | 145 lbs | ATH Blackman | 2028 TN , an athlete at Blackman Middle School. What made Malone so impactful last weekend was his smooth execution and versatile edge as a receiver, showing off his ability to use bursts of speed down the stretch to catch up to the deep pass. Malone also made a great impression in coverage, using his arms to shove off his opponent to get open.
Claiming the third place spot on my list is Amare McKenzie Amare McKenzie 5’2″ | 115 lbs | RB Alcoa | 2028 TN , a running back at Alcoa Middle School. In addition to outstanding size and speed, what stood out about McKenzie was his durability in the pocket, his ability to utilize his strong footwork and his explosive movement. I also liked how McKenzie maneuvered the field, proving he could dodge and weave pressure and quickly change direction.

Another player to establish himself was Ben Spencer Ben Spencer 5’7″ | 135 lbs | ATH University School of Jackson | 2028 TN , an athlete at University School of Jackson. Spencer caught my attention with his breakaway speed and deceptive footwork, proving he could juke out his man during running back positional drills. Another aspect of Spencer that impressed was his fearless effort in the pocket, proving he can handle contact and blast past his opponent.
I was additionally impressed with Jake Rogers Jake Rogers 6’4″ | 270 lbs | OL Knoxville Catholic | 2028 TN , a defensive lineman at Seymour Middle School. Rogers proved his skillset during positional drills on Saturday morning, using his size and strength to his advantage. What impressed me the most about Rogers was his ability to use his arms to stun his opponent and be decisive with his footwork to get around his man in the pocket.

Also earning a spot on my list is Karter Grace Karter Grace 6’1″ | 225 lbs | DL AL , an offensive lineman at Liberty Middle School. What I liked about Grace’s playstyle was his execution and athleticism in both the warm-up drills and positional portion of the camp.
