. Rogers, like Dial above, was impressive at the Prep Redzone Next Middle School camp earlier this year and is continuing to really start to develop. He’s a two-way player that looks at him on the interior Defensive Line, in addition being able to play either Guard or Tackle on the offensive side of the ball. Currently reports a wingspan of 79.5″, which means he could hold a cutout of NBA star Zion Willimason from fingertip to fingertip. He’ll be at Webb School of Knoxville in the fall.

spent much of the last two years separating himself from the pack of middle school defensive linemen. At a legitimate 6-foot-2, 250 pounds (and getting bigger each time I check on him) Rogers is piecing together a memorable eighth-grade year. Shined brightest as a defensive lineman this season, earning a First Team All-East Tennessee selection and Defensive Player of the Year at Seymour. He followed that up with a standout performance at our PRZ Next Middle School Camp in Tennessee in January. He’s been a defensive end up until this point, but with his size and strength I can see him bumping down inside to play tackle. It’s worth noting that he was also selected to the Smokey Mountain Middle School All-Star Game on the hardwood.

, a defensive lineman at Seymour Middle School. What makes Rogers so efficient is his deceptive footwork in the pocket as well as his ability to blast his opponent, proving he can match up against some tough players during positional drills. Rogers also stood out with his ability to use his arms in coverage to stun his foe.

, a defensive lineman at Seymour Middle School. Rogers proved his skillset during positional drills on Saturday morning, using his size and strength to his advantage. What impressed me the most about Rogers was his ability to use his arms to stun his opponent and be decisive with his footwork to get around his man in the pocket.
