I became completely enamored with Reece Reynolds Reece Reynolds 6'2" | 180 lbs | DB/WR Goodpasture Christian | 2028 TN from the moment I watched some of his highlight tape back in the middle of October. The eighth-grade year that Reynolds is currently putting together at Knox Doss Middle School is nothing short of elite. Reynolds lit up Sumner County and all of Middle Tennessee during the football season, earning not only an All-County selection for the second year in a row, but also Sumner County Player of the Year. The dual-threat prospect looks to be the complete package in terms of what “today’s quarterbacks” are being asked to do: he can run, pass and can also put the hurt on receivers as a safety on defense. If the football awards don’t validate it enough, he was also named All-County in basketball too. For what it’s worth, his ability also translated well to the camp scene, as Reynolds also earned a ton of praise at the PRZ Next Middle School Camp in Tennessee, from the scouts and coaches I spoke to.

In addition to excellent footwork and arm strength, what stood out the most about Reynolds was his pin-point accuracy, proving he could launch bullets deep into the backfield. On top of his quick release, I liked how Reynolds could carefully plan his throws when receivers were being contested by the defensive backs.

Reynolds caught my attention during positional drills, showing off his arm strength and ability to hit receivers in stride down the stretch. On top of his quick release off the whistle, I liked how Reynolds could scan the field for his man and capitalize on opportune moments to throw the ball.

Reynolds is another quarterback prospect that I recently covered in October, but when talking about top 2028 Tennessee quarterback’s, there’s no legitimate list someone can throw together without including him. There’s not much football-related to update on, but the talented athlete is now into basketball season at Knox Doss Middle School. As I said in my previous write up, Reynolds is one of the most exciting players in the state at this point. If you took Trevor Lawrence, “Sunshine” Ronnie Bass from Remember The Titans and then sprinkled in some Justin Herbert, you would get Reece Reynolds Reece Reynolds 6'2" | 180 lbs | DB/WR Goodpasture Christian | 2028 TN . He was the Shelby County Player of the Year for a reason, folks.

To say that Reece Reynolds Reece Reynolds 6'2" | 180 lbs | DB/WR Goodpasture Christian | 2028 TN has quickly emerged as one of my favorite players in Tennessee for the class of 2028, would be a vast understatement. A two-sport (basketball) star for Knox Doss Middle School, he’s leaving middle school football as a two-time All-County selection and the 2023 Sumer County Middle School Football Player of the Year. He’s a dual-threat quarterback that does some things on the field, that will simply make your jaw drop. Not trying to be funny, but taking his physical appearance into consideration while watching him on the field, Reynolds reminds me of a mix of “Sunshine” from Remember The Titans and current-Jacksonville Jaguar quarterback, Trevor Lawrence. He’s an extremely promising 2028 prospect who has made defenses look silly with his vision and speed while running the ball, with one of the most beautiful releases on deep ball that you’ll ever see. I often see prospects commenting, “he’s him” on social media.  Nah, man. No offense…but Reece Reynolds Reece Reynolds 6'2" | 180 lbs | DB/WR Goodpasture Christian | 2028 TN is HIM. If he stays healthy and does the right things, he’ll be playing on Saturdays in the not-so distant future.
