Let’s spotlight these linemen whose skills not only elevated the showcase but left no doubt that they are prospects to keep an eye on this offseason.
Moody started the day with an impressive forty time, he showed off his nimble feet and the ability to change directions quickly in the shuttle drill, as well as the L-drill, which caught the coaches attention early. Devin moves with great balance, his form when running was polished for a big guy and he showed that he was one the top performers during the testing portion in the o-line group. Devin was dominant in the 1v1s versus the defensive line. He was a wall, his ability to punch and gain control early at engagement were evident and he finished his opponent with physicality. Moody has a high ceiling. Going into 2024, Moody is penciled in to be the starting center for Brewer. After his standout performance expect him to get attention from college programs.
Highlights
Stover has a stout build, with wide shoulders, good arm length and he has a thick lower trunk. Sean is a powerful player with a stiff punch at the point of attack, at engagement, his ability to lock in on his opponent with violent hands showed off his superb technique and he finished off blocks with the best of them at the PRZ Stock Up Showcase. At 6’3 280, Stover has the frame to be stout, firm and strong on the interior and he was a key starter for a Prosper team that advanced to the third round of the playoffs in 2023. Stover has the skill set that college coaches covet in offensive lineman.
Highlights
Alexander has an imposing presence at 6’7 290 pounds, he has a long, athletic frame with extended arm length that he uses to his advantage. He moves well, he has nimble feet and his ability to get good bend in his hips is an asset to his game. Alexander took instruction well from the coaches at the PRZ Stock Up Showcase, as he was able to absorb, correct and apply coaching techniques on site, showing that he is extremely coachable. Herrera’s freshman film shows he has potential, as he continues to mature and develop that he has the skill set to be a force at Crowley High School.
Highlights
Mulusa at 6’2 240 pounds, has a frame that as he continues to mature he will get stronger. Isayah is a skill full player with excellent technique, he get his hands in proper placement when he delivers his punch, he has good arm length and his footwork put him in position to set up to arrive at engagement with violence. Mulusa moved well during the drill portion of the showcase, showing quick feet with good lateral quickness. Mulusa is a prospect to keep an eye on as he progresses over at Lake Ridge High School.
Highlights
Paxton stood out during the 1v1s against the defensive line, displaying a stout base with good footwork, his ability to get low with good leverage was a trait that stuck out in his game and he showed his strength when he locked on his opponent to gain control early at the point of attack. The 6’3 261 pound Pitchford showed flashes during the PRZ Stock Up Texas Showcase that he has the potential to be one the top linemen in his class in Oklahoma.
Burns showed off clean footwork during the linemen specific drills, he has quick nimble feet and he has a strong lower half. Jayden took being coached up well and was able to make adjustments quickly during the reps in the 1v1s versus the defensive line. Burns has good arm length and this enables him to get hands on his opponents early engagement. After watching cut ups of his freshman film, the skill set is there to increase his production as he matures.
