He has a good first step, along with the athleticism and length combo to recover if beaten off the edge. Another strong attribute of Herrera is the intentionality and consistency of his hands into defenders’ chests. Herrera has a sky-high ceiling and should take another step forward this season. The start tackle holds an offer list from schools, including Arkansas, Texas Tech, and Arizona State.

When looking for the physical attributes of a tackle, Herrera checks all of those boxes. At 6’7″ 290 lbs with long arms and quick feet, he has shown to be able to put all of those tools together and excel at the position, and will only improve with experience. Alexander showed out his freshman year, in camps over the offseason, and has been able to show that out in the first couple weeks of the season. While not being listed in both the Texas and position rankings, he definitely has the tools and has shown to be able to make an impact in the game.
