The Prep Redzone Next camp tour wrapped up this weekend in Oklahoma with the Central Middle School Showcase. We had some outstanding talent all across the state and even some of the surrounding states. We’ll have a ton of coverage from the event dropping on Prep Redzone Next! In this post, we’re putting the spotlight on the best of the best at each position. After discussing with our positional coaches and writers in attendance, these seven earned the title of the best of the best in Oklahoma!
The offensive line position was arguably the most dominant position at Sunday’s camp. And Brock Allen Brock Allen 6’4″ | 295 lbs | OL OK was the best of the bunch. The future Enid Plainsman has a very bright future. He trains on the weekends with JR Conrad and the highly respected Trench Mafia group. And that was evident because Allen was an absolute technician on Sunday. Every rep we saw, Allen was two steps ahead of his opponent. He completely neutralized multiple guys and really impressed. We can’t stress how talented this position group was and Allen was the best of the best.
Highlights
Lincoln Christian 2028 running back CJ Wright CJ Wright 5’7″ | 150 lbs | RB OK got our attention immediately on Sunday during the testing portion of the camp. Wright ran the fastest 40-yard dash time at Broken Arrow’s camp and he was blazing down the field. Wright would then showcase that top-end speed during the drills and the competition during the camp. Wright not only has that speed in the open field but he gets in and out of his breaks with ease and that provided natural separation. This was another position group that was incredibly talented and Wright was a complete standout.
Highlights
We’ve run two Prep Redzone Next camps in Oklahoma and Washington 2028 quarterback Creed Barrett Creed Barrett 5’10” | 150 lbs | QB Washington | 2028 OK has been QB MVP of both camps. Barrett went back to back on Sunday and just like Wright, he shined immediately. He ran the third fastest 40-yard dash time on Sunday and then absolutely tore it up when it was time to throw. Washington is coming off back to back state championships and the Warriors have some strong 2028 prospects coming up. The Warriors aren’t slowing down anytime soon and Barrett is yet another name to know for the 2A power.

Deer Creek is another program with some very good young players coming up. And Sunday’s camp saw two future Antlers walk away with positional MVP awards. Linebacker Jackson Miller Jackson Miller 5’10” | 195 lbs | LB OK was lights out all day. Every time we got a chance to see Miller in a one on one setting, he was tracking the ball well and staying right there with the running back. Miller already looks like he has a solid build and we can only imagine the physicality he plays with when the pads come on. Miller got on our radar over the weekend and we’re fired up to see him in high school.
Highlights
At the last Prep Redzone Next camp we had in Oklahoma, Mustang produced at a high clip and this weekend wasn’t different. Jonathan McCorvey was registered for the camp at the wide receiver position but he turned around and got rep after rep on defense and ended up earning the defensive back MVP award. We say this every time we do a camp like this. Get reps. Go out there and show that you want to compete, get coached and improve your game. Mccorvey was a great example of that on Sunday and he has a bright future moving forward.
Highlights
Deer Creek’s front seven is going to be filthy in the future. Miller walked away with the linebacker MVP award and it was Romeo Campos Romeo Campos DL OK who took home the MVP for defensive linemen. With those two leading the way for the front seven, Deer Creek is going to have two playmakers coming up very soon. Campos did a really good job during the competition portion of camp. He had a lot of success when he lined up on the edge but he wasn’t afraid to line up on the interior and use a straight bull rush to get into the backfield. Campos got coached up and improved throughout.
