North Dakota’s second largest city, has seen plenty of football prospects come thru Bismarck and find a home at the next level, and we believe that will continue to grow with this 2026 class, as these are prospects college coaches will want on their radar now, not later.
One of North Dakota’s top offensive linemen in the 2026 class, Bismarck Century’s Braxton Dahl Braxton Dahl 6’3″ | 260 lbs | OL Bismarck Century | 2026 State ND is a 6’3 255 pound offensive lineman with a high next-level ceiling. He shows off such forceful hands at the point of attack, and has the balanced athleticism with his mobile footwork to drive into the second level with a quick finish. The pad-level Braxton has with his leverage also intrigues at defensive end on the other side of the ball. as this kid shows off plenty of longevity and motor in every rep I see on tape and so much strength in his hands on both sides of the trenches. Braxton is one of few of the first 2026 prospects I have a Division I grade on so far in the Dakotas.
Highlights
Jack Julson
Jack Julson
Jack is a brand new 2026 name on my radar out of Bismarck Legacy, as he showed off his fair share of flashes on tape. At 6’1 155 pounds there is length and frame to grow for the taking, but the long-striding lower body length this young man shows off in the return game and shows off some flash in the Sabers receiving core. Jack shows off a quick twitch of agility with his route-running and there is certainly development in the coming years to make that agility more smooth. He shows as a wide receiver prospect that doesn’t need to big window of opportunity to make a catch with his his hands. The length Jack possesses has some raw traits in the open field, but again Jack is a prospect I really like his upside brewing in the coming years out of Bismarck.
Roman Barnes
Roman Barnes
A 6’5 255 pound offensive lineman that right now has some raw upside, is Bismarck St. Mary’s Roman Barnes. Roman will need to develop a quicker first step to set his feet smoother at the point of attack, and shows development needed with his pad level. What Roman already has going for him is the hand speed, which is the most intriguing skillset I caught with his game tape from 2023. Roman has measurables that offensive line coaches at the next-level dream about, and Roman to me, have a high upside in the next 3-5 years in the right college football that knows how to develop offensive linemen.
Dominic Zander
Dominic Zander
Dominic is a 2026 wide receiver that at 6’0 170 pounds shows edgy route-running ability that excels on intermediate routes with his route-running he shows off from his sophomore tape. He shows off plenty of fluidity when I watch his change of direction and plays fearless in the middle of the field with really soft hands even when in high traffic areas or hedging heavy contact. Dominic also holds a good sized catch radius for his size. He also does well with leverage with his pass-blocking off the ball for a slot receiver. Dominic is certainly a 2026 prospect to buy stock in early out of Bismarck, as I expect a bigger leap from him in the 2024 season.
One of the biggest 2026 standouts from my last two camp and showcase evaluations of Bismarck Legacy is running back/athlete Yusuf Jama Yusuf Jama 5’11” | 180 lbs | RB Bismarck Legacy | 2026 State ND who is one of my favorite skill players in this 2026 class in the city of Bismarck. His burst pops out so quickly in my live evaluation and that matches with what you see on his sophomore tape. Not only does he have the speed, but Yusuf is much more durable after contact than you would expect with his measurables, as it normally takes a herd of tacklers to bring him to the turf. I love what I see so far from Yusuf’s defensive tape, as this kid plays with a ton of range that could translate to a sideline to sideline defensive back as a prospect that has position flexibility on both sides of the ball. Yusuf is a three-way swiss army knife that is one of the top athletes in North Dakota’s 2026 class.
