He has high end athletic traits as he ran a 4.5 and broad jumped an insane 10’7. As a thrower, in spite of his length, he has a really nice compact throwing motion and can really let it rip. He showed good agility in the pocket maneuver and throw drills. Bodpegn has seen his recruitment blow in his junior season. He’s getting interests at both the quarterback and wide receiver positions. He’s getting interest from the likes of Ohio State and Rutgers. I expect that interests to continue to pick up this offseason due to his elite combo of length and athleticism as well as throwing ability.
2025 DB Jordan McElroy (Canton McKinley) 5’11 165- Jordan had a strong day which culminated with him winning the MVP for the defensive back position. Jordan has fluid hips and does a great job of breaking on the ball. On a day where there weren’t a lot of cornerbacks to take reps and give breaks, McElroy never backed down and won a great majority of his reps.
2027 WR/DB Tristin Hughes Tristin Hughes 6'1" | 180 lbs | ATH St. Edward | 2027 State OH (Saint Edwards) 6’0 170- I was really impressed with Hughes. Hughes spent the position drills with the wide receivers. He showed good short space quickness and the ability to use his athleticism to get open. Probably what I was most impressed with was that when he saw there were a few defensive backs to rotate in, he hopped in the defense of backs line. He stepped right in and played some strong press man coverage using a strong punch to stonewall receivers at the line of scrimmage. He has an impressive build and a frame to continue to develop and get stronger.
2025 LB Easton Hill Easton Hill 6'1" | 215 lbs | LB Hamilton Township | 2025 State OH (Hamilton Township) 6’1 215- Hill is an impressive physical build. What stood out to me in Hills play at the showcase was how good he was in coverage. He had the loose hips, and athleticism to stick on really strong running backs in their routes. If Hill can continue to develop physically and get stronger, he is going to be a force on the defensive side of the ball.
2025 LB Iain Tolber (Bradley) 6’0 180- Tolbert is a fluid athlete to hat has a good burst when he gets downhill. He has the athleticism to cover. As he gets bigger and stronger, he should be more of a physical presence in coverage and the run game.
