Perkins checks into our rankings as the number one offensive lineman in his class heading into the 2024 season, and deservingly so. He has the ideal length and size for the tackle position at the next level with long arms, active feet and good athleticism in space. He shows that he can get out in open field and block linebackers while creating a immediate push near the LOS against first level defenders, and is a natural bender that explodes out of his stance to create immediate displacement. He is in line for a huge off-season, and as he continues to pack on muscle and weight, schools should take notice.
Highlights
Fairbanks is a active and high motor blocker that plays violent and wins with a strong punch, leg drive and gets underneath defenders quickly while creating a nice vertical push downhill. He offers position versatility along the line due to his movement abilities and athleticism, but should find his home at the IOL in college. The First Team All League selection is one of the better IOL Idaho has to offer regardless of class, and will once again lead the trenches for one of the best programs in the state.
Grimes cracks into our rankings as a top five player at his position in this 2025 class, and sneaks in just inside the top 25 overall within Idaho. He is another violent blocker with length, a motor and can sustain blocks downfield consistently while looking to finish with violence and aggression. Grimes flashes good hands and feet/base in pass protection, while staying patient against counters and bull rushers. He also shows that he can pull and kick out and finish blocks downfield. Look for Grimes to be one of the better offensive players heading into the 2024 season.
McCartney is deserving to crack into our ranks, and should draw college interest from the D3 level over the next 12 months. He can play both guard or tackle, and is a high motor kid that explodes out of his stance and creates immediate vertical push along the LOS. Anchoring the line for Hillcrest, he will be one of the better blockers across the region this up-coming Fall, and be someone to keep a close eye on as he continues to grow and develop.
Burelle has some nice upside at the position due to his length and frame with the ability to add on more weight as he moves through college, and could find his home at the tackle position at the next level. He shows good bend in his stance, can snap out of it and quickly, gets hands on opponents while flashing active feet and strong lateral movement abilities in pass protection. As he continues to work on finishing blocks and his physicality at the POA, he should draw plenty of next level interest.
