In this article, I want to highlight 5 guys I was either unfamiliar with all together, or that I just hadn’t been able to see in person before. These 5 guys stood out as DUDES against some really good competition, and I will definitely need to get eyes on these athletes again, hopefully sooner rather than later.
Holden was far and away the best TE prospect in attendance. Holden is a class of 27 kid with a big 6’4 218 pound frame. The way he moves, makes contested catches, and fires off strong makes this dude a can’t miss D1 prospect. I really liked his quick and smooth release, and even linebackers had a tough time jamming him off the line or impeding his route at all. At all times he maintained great position and was able to get physical with anyone. I really hope to get to see him in game action because I think he could be a special player for years to come.

Lincoln has started earning some D1 attention, and it’s easy to see why. He has really sticky hands, and a solid frame to get physical with anyone in coverage. He was right around 5 seconds on both 40 times, and I think that will only improve as he continues to work. The weight room will definitely continue to be his best friend, but as for natural ability and the talent he possesses, there is no reason he isn’t an extremely sought after recruit for the next few years.

You want to talk about burst and speed, this is your dude for sure. Seemingly most comfortable between the tackles, he was one of the quickest athletes on the property. 4.87 40 time, and a 7.54 L drill stood out to me, along with an 8’2 1/2 broad jump. When in position specific drills, he was looking really making quick and clean cuts, and the change of direction was abrupt! I would like to see him continue to develop as a pass catcher out of the backfield and continue to become a well rounded back, but he is off to a fantastic start to the offseason.

This is the definition of a can’t miss dude. Size and strength mixed with great technique and great coachability gives Garvin sky high limits. Just optically he was probably the most impressive lineman there on Sunday. He measured in at 6’5 280, and he moved extremely well. In 1 on 1s, he was able to use his size to his advantage, but a few times he had to recover and he did it at a high level, ensuring to anchor down and taking the defender out of the play completely. I think Garvin is as “Can’t Miss” as it gets when it comes to being an elite prospect.
Highlights
I had heard of Rowan, but I had not yet seen him in person. I was really impressed overall with how Rowan moves, and how well he took coaching and applied it to the next rep. On run blocks, he has a nice bucket step and doesn’t struggle to get his defender turned the way he wants. On pass sets, his steps are smooth, and he has a strong base and great hands. I think his trajectory from where he is to where he is going is on a great path and I am pumped to see him develop into the lineman it’s looking like he could be!
