CFI Winter Showcase: Top Quarterbacks

Several quarterbacks stood out with their performance and were named top performers in the event. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Trenton Sherrill - East Gaston - MVP </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 2024 lefty stands at 6'4 and showed great touch on deep throws and excellent ball placement throughout the entire showcase. Trenton has generated a ton of college interest and should have options present themselves as recruiting boards sharpen up here through the signing day period. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='367042' first='Gregory' last='Fee'] - Weddington </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 2025 prospect stands at a legit 6'5 and looks to take the reigns of a state championship program with starting QB [player_tooltip player_id='396921' first='Tyler' last='Budge'] graduating this year. His arm strength was impressive and Gregory showed strong footwork and mechanics. He will be someone to really watch in the spring and summer camp season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='631305' first='Grayson' last='Harvey'] - Mountain Island </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A 2025 prospect, Grayson is coming off of a strong season where he threw for over 3400 yards and 23 touchdowns for a Mountain Island team that made the 2nd round of the state playoffs. With excellent arm accuracy and good mechanics along with a 4.0 GPA, Grayson is poised to have a strong senior year. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='989278' first='Khalel' last='Wright'] - Country Day </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Playing in the private school ranks in Charlotte, Khalel flies under the radar a little bit but I have really liked his game for 2 years now. He showed well with great athleticism and arm strength at this particular showcase. He holds offers from NC Central and Prarie View A&amp;M currently, and at 6'1 and 185 pounds he will be someone I expect to pick up more offers going into his senior year as a 2025 prospect. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1016553' first='Logan' last='Adair'] - Newton-Conover</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I didn't know much about Logan coming into this showcase, but he jumped on the radar quickly with great athletic ability and excellent mechanics. He had over 2300 passing yards and 28 touchdowns this past season. I'm excited to see this 2025 prospect continue to grow as he prepares for his senior year. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
