Both the Phoenix 12U & Phoenix 14U All-Star teams finished second in their respective brackets. On top of that, the AZ Suns squad won the AYF National Championship in the 13U D2 bracket. Both the All-Star teams carried rosters of 30-40 kids, while the Suns were smaller in rosters–but had a ton of future D1 talent to display. Here’s a look at Part 2 of the 2028 prospects from Arizona, that dominated the competition.
– Starter at Wide Receiver for Phoenix 14U All-Star Team, which had a ton of talent on it
– Brought a nice combination of muscle and speed. Had a solid build and looked the part of a kid that is only starting to scratch the surface
– Libman played wide receiver at AYF Nationals, but is certainly an athlete. During the regular season played quarterback, but routinely kept the ball and ran at a high level
– One of the biggest reasons the AZ Suns 13U team came home with the AYF National Championship for the 13U D2 level
– Super athletic kid that teams had to watch in the return game and in the passing game, as a wide receiver
– Has long legs in comparison to his torso. Uses quick feet to get up in his route, then his long strides help him pull away
– I really liked what I saw in person from Fulmer as both a tight end and defensive end prospect
– Good size at 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds, who claims a 4.8 in the forty at this point
– Fast, physical and active with great hands. His film from the regular season features a number of impressive clips using his hands to bring in passes as a tight end, and bat down passes as a defensive end
Highlights
– Starter at Center for Phoenix 14U All-Star Team at AYF Nationals and I almost immediately noticed he took a leadership role
– Smart kid who did his job throughout the week, playing against some very good linebackers and interior linemen
– Played on the same offensive line as Landen Wade Landen Wade 6’4″ | 240 lbs | OL Basha | 2028 AZ during the regular season, again linking up on the All-Star team
– George was the tallest kid on the AZ Suns 13U team at AYF Nationals. Looked physically more mature and athletically advanced than 95% of the prospects at the event
– Plays the game with raw athletic ability. From what I saw, finds success based off his size and ability to move his body fluidly–rather than with any real developed football skill at this point
– I’m pretty interested to see how everything turns out for him. He looks like a tight end more than anything else, but switched back and forth from defensive end to defensive tackle across the front. Long term, I can see him being a nice tight end
– Another kid with an insane amount of potential once he improves feet and athleticism
– Good-looking prospect in terms of size and mass combo at this point
– Must learn how to re-anchor once jolted back or starting to lose battle
– Was a clear cut standout both times I watched the AZ Suns 13U team play down at AYF Nationals
– Originally caught my eye defensively as a linebacker. He was obviously on the shorter side, but his lateral movement was impressive. Scraped well and flew to the ball
