The 6’3, 215 lbs linebacker from Kankakee was a one man wrecking crew this season. Chandler posted a stat line of 115 tackles, 17 of which were for loss. He also tallied 8 sacks, 3 interceptions, and 1 forced fumble. Earning his way onto the 6A All-State team, Chandler should be viewed as one of the top linebackers in the state. He is an explosive athlete who has a nose for the football. Whether he is rushing the passer, stuffing the run, or dropping in coverage, Chandler is a playmaker who is sure to find a home soon.
Adams is a highly instinctual linebacker from Lake Zurich. The 6’1, 200 lbs hybrid plays with incredible physicality, especially when stopping the run. He is unafraid to take on pullers and blow up lead blockers when facing downhill run game. Against the pass, Adams is smooth in coverage and has a high motor that allows him to relentlessly pursue the opposing quarterback. Whether Adams is in the box or on the edge, he needs to be accounted for as he will find his way to the football in a hurry. Currently uncommitted, Adams should find his next home in no time after earning 6A All-State Honors.
Ben Jorczak
Ben Jorczak
The 6’1, 250 lbs guard from Normal West put his name on the map this season after earning his way onto the 6A All-State Team. Jorczak, a physical and downhill blocker, thrived in Normal West’s gap run scheme. Many of his clips show him getting to the edge on pulls and running over anyone who gets in his way. He is highly athletic and gets downhill with low pad level and power. Plain and simple, Jorczak is a prospect who craves contact and does a nice job of paving rushing lanes for his running backs following behind him. This physical senior is sure to find a home sooner rather than later.
The 6’3, 260 lbs defensive tackle from Simeon is a relentless player who is tough to block for opposing interior offensive linemen. Beeler has a variety polished moves that allows him to defeat blockers at the point of attack in both the run and pass game. He is quick off the ball, showcasing his explosive first step. He can shed blockers with a bull rush, swim move, or club-rip. And when he sees a kick step from opposing guards, Beeler has one thing on his mind: get to the quarterback. This high motor player remains uncommitted and will be a hidden gem for any program to scoop up in this recruiting cycle.
Kainon McQueary
Kainon McQueary
The 5’9, 175 lbs back from Washington Community burst onto the scene last season after his impressive junior campaign. When McQueary returned for his senior year, he played even better and found himself on the 6A All-State Team. McQueary is an agile and elusive tailback who is hard to tackle in a phone booth. He possesses elite vision, solid balance, and can lower his shoulder to run through arm tackles. This combination of speed, elusiveness, and power makes him a homerun threat every time he touches the ball. While McQueary remains uncommitted, this senior is sure to make an impact for any college program from the first day he steps foot on campus.
Caleb Apodaca
Caleb Apodaca
Apodaca is a high motor defensive lineman out of Wauconda. He measures in at 6’2, 215 lbs and has a quick first step that makes him difficult to stop at the line of scrimmage. He possesses a variety of moves that allow him to win at the point of attack, as Apodaca plays with his hands and feet under control. He is athletic enough to two-gap and defeat blockers with his hands and is powerful enough to shed base blocks at the line of scrimmage. Apodaca can do a lot of different things at defensive end and defensive tackle. As he remains uncommitted, this rising senior should be on every teams recruiting board.
