Continue ReadingStepping onto the turf with determination and a thirst for victory, the Morton Potters are a team on the rise. With an impressive 8-2 record last season, finishing second in the conference, they have set their sights on greater achievements, Under guidance of the new head coach Adam O’Neill. Coach O’Neill, in his second year with the team, is poised to lead the Potters to continued success. Riding the momentum of their performance, the Potters are primed to show their talent and tenacity in the upcoming season. Here are a few of the players set to have a productive year!
Seandon is a true workhorse on the field. He serves as the backbone of the Morton Potters’ ground game. As a 1000- yard rusher, he consistently demonstrates his ability to carry the ball effectively in all situations, making him an invaluable asset as an every down back. His combination of vision, agility, and power allows him to excel in moving the chains and driving the teams offensive success.
Ian Collins
Ian Collins
Ian Collins is an impressive DL who stands at 6’5 205lbs. This young man is a force to be reckoned with on the field, boasting incredible power and explosiveness off the line. Each snap OL better pay attention to what he’s doing. He has a natural ability to disrupt plays and create chaos in the backfield. As he continues to develop his skills this offseason there’s no doubt that he will be a game changer this upcoming season for the Potters Line.
Dennis is 6’4 255. Need I say more? He is relentless with finishing his blocks. Once Dennis gets his hands on most of his opponents they end up on the ground. His ability to make contact and drive until their opponent is on their back is some of the best I’ve seen in this area. With explosive power off the snap, he consistently gets his hands into ideal position to control his opposition. Dennis’s domination in both pass and run sets him apart as one of the best in his class. The agility and proficiency in blocking in space make him a big asset to the Potters Offensive Line.
Highlights
Coach OneillDennis Made a huge block on our zone play that caved the entire Dunlap Defensive Line in the second half. Led to a 90 yard gain
Julian Alexander
Julian Alexander
Julian is a WR who has stood out to me on film this past offseason. He has great footwork and the capability to turn ordinary plays into game changing moments. Julian is a shifty WR who can consistently find open space and exploit defensive weaknesses. His agility and quick thinking have allowed him to make the most out of every opportunity. Despite missing a few games last season he still lead his team in Yards per touch. Julian is returning this season with a chip on his shoulder and he has the Potter fans excited for Week 1!
Silas Steffan
Silas Steffan
Silas’s ability to consistently perform at a competitive level in one of the toughest conferences in the state speaks volumes about his talent level. His aggressive but calculated approach to the game has earned him a reputation as a true ball hawk. Silas consistently lined up against the opponents best receivers all season and many many of times held his own. As he continues to perfect his craft the future looks bright for him and his team. I expect his next two years to be filled with highlight plays and game changing moments from this young DB.

Top Performers to Watch
Paul Weeks– LB who is the brains of the Defense. Makes big plays for the team on 3rd Downs. Great at bringing pressure to the QB and stuffing runs in critical situations.
Cole Rickenberger– 2 way player who is a consistent threat in the passing game and at the same time was the second leading tackler on the team. Cole is a returning 2nd team all conference player. Expected to build on the success he had last year.
