The 6’3, 260 lbs defensive tackle from Simeon is a relentless player who is tough to block for opposing interior offensive linemen. Beeler has a variety polished moves that allows him to defeat blockers at the point of attack in both the run and pass game. He is quick off the ball, showcasing his explosive first step. He can shed blockers with a bull rush, swim move, or club-rip. And when he sees a kick step from opposing guards, Beeler has one thing on his mind: get to the quarterback. This high motor player remains uncommitted and will be a hidden gem for any program to scoop up in this recruiting cycle.

When I say heavily recruited I mean it. The Simeon DL holds 27 D1 offers at this time, and it is a good time watching the tape that has helped earn them. Beeler has a well put together 6’3″ 260 lbs frame with elite 34″ arms. That length allows him to create separation, and then use his pass rush moves or quickness and agility to beat OL. Mikeshun has repeatedly shown the strong, heavy hands to be able to club linemen. The stud DL has also shown nimble feet that allow him to move laterally while on his rush path. Finally, Beeler has shown that he can win with strength and leverage over speed. He has an impressive, well rounded game. Pumped to see where he commits.

One of the most popular 2024s in the state when talking overall quantity of offers, 6’3, 260 lb. DL Mikeshun Beeler Mikeshun Beeler 6'3" | 260 lbs | DL Simeon | 2024 State IL comes out of Chicago Public League powerhouse Simeon and holds 27 Division 1 offers from programs all over the country. Led by P5 offers from the likes of Arizona State, Colorado, Nebraska, Oregon, Purdue, and Texas A&M, Beeler also holds 14 FBS offers and seven FCS offers to possess one of the most diverse offer lists in Illinois. This summer, he’s taken officials to Eastern Michigan and Western Michigan, and has also visited Bowling Green and Cincinnati, and with some of his P5 offers coming very recently, I think it’s safe to say Beeler’s recruitment is still up in the air. Colorado is still recruiting him hard, and he earned his B1g offer from Purdue in person after a camp performance to kickstart June, so don’t be surprised if the Boilermakers get a visit as well. His stock is very much on the rise, and he could see his current Top-30 ranking climb even higher come next update once his senior tape starts to get released, especially if he can continue his eye-catching production with Simeon. Last fall, Beeler posted 77 tackles, 21 TFLs, 10 sacks, and six FFs while helping the Wolverines to a 12-1 season and city championship with big wins coming over Fenwick, Morgan Park, Bolingbrook, Wheaton-Warrenville South, and Kenwood Academy. Simeon has seen more than their fair share of top-tier football talent come through their program, and you can bet your butt they know how to develop and prepare their players for the next level, so Beeler is an exciting and must-know uncommitted 2024 who projects well to the college level along the DL. Excellent hand usage, a good blend of power, bend, and twitch, and can produce from multiple spots on a defensive line and from a three or two-point stance. He’s an obviously athletic DL at his size, with strength, a high-effort mentality, and a variety of moves and counters to beat blocks in the run or pass game. The hand usage is particularly impressive. Must-watch recruitment going forward. I would not want to have to match up against Simeon’s DL this fall.

Continuing the legacy of stud Simeon prospects and representing the Wolverines 2024 class is 6’3, 260 lb. defensive lineman Mikeshun Beeler. A city champion and All-City DE in 2022, Beeler posted 77 tackles, 21 TFLs, 10 sacks, and 6 FFs and saw his in-season production pay off in a B1G offer from Nebraska in late October. NIU and Ohio then joined in November, and since the season ended Beeler saw Bowling Green State, Western Michigan, Marshall, Ball State, Kent State, Southern Illinois, Illinois State, and Buffalo. That offer sheet is expanding quickly, and once you turn on the tape you can see why. Beeler has a ton of ways he can blocking attempts, and I especially love how he uses his hands to push/pull, chop/rip, or just straight up bull rush tackles and guards far into the backfield. He also shows some twitch, can get skinny through the hole when necessary, and is overall an impressive athlete who is bigger, faster, stronger, and better than his opponents. That’s always a good mix for success, and Beeler has some eye-popping plays of him slamming RBs down one-handed and running down QBs like a 6’3, 260 lb. cannonball. I would not want to be a OT facing off against Simeon’s DL in 2023.

Simeon High School inside of Chicago has a never-ending wealth of standout football and basketball prospects and have themselves a must-see 2024 EDGE in 6’3, 240 lber. Mikeshun Beeler Mikeshun Beeler 6'3" | 260 lbs | DL Simeon | 2024 State IL . The junior was a recipient of the Nebraska Cornhuskers large recruiting effort in late October and joined a handful of other Illinois natives to earn a P5 offer at or around the 20th. Sadly, his highlights are set to private so I can’t get a look at those unless I hit up some buddies who are coaching CFB and beg for their Hudl info. The kid is athletic if he’s finding success at Simeon, though. Stay tuned with PRzIL for more.
